Well I think he would get us something good. I am not saying we as a club should be actively trying to trade him but if I was Geelong or someone like them I would be doing everything possible to talk him out of Melbourne.

I am surprised anyone would have interest in Lever personally. He may have leadership qualities but the current game style just exposes him one on one defensively and has injury issues I wouldn’t be surprised if another club tried to lure Gawn out though.

One thing this game highlights is how far away we are from challenging again. Yes we have some good young players and yes we have beaten a good side in Brisbane and challenged some other good teams. But on a whole we have a bloody lot of work to do. I am not sure who is the best sports psychologist in the world but we need there help in particular.

Given how pedantic the AFL / umpires can be I am amazed how often a player takes a mark and a player who is not the closest will role in and stand the mark much closer than they should be. Also LJ moved 5cm’s forward today and got called play on, yet just about every player around the ground from a mark or free kick moves half a meter of the line and they don’t call play on. Meanwhile the player on the mark has to stand.

Hope Moore gets suspended for that.

It’s seriously crazy and poor coaching. We have numerous players like Bowey, Rivers McVee, Langdon and Chandler that could all have a go in there to mix it up if the youngsters are to tired.

I would love to know who Zita spoke to. I have no trust in the club knowing where we are at. My biggest concern with replacing Goodwin has been I don’t trust the club to find someone better, still don’t.
