  1. The date is still yet to be announced. At this stage it’s either the Saturday or the Sunday.
  2. Crows Pies gamed delayed due to lightning?
  3. Solid session. (Even watching them train is enjoyable!) Gay and Sheriff on lighter duties but nothing to worry about. Great vibe within the group. And what was meant to be a 15 min autograph session turned into over an hour. They’re fierce af on-field but sweet af off the field. Not a single big head amongst them. ❤️💙
  4. 4 buck chuck by the goony bag is more up your alley right?
  5. You and Pickett aren’t uppity snobs though. Therein lies the difference. BBO is the uppitiest of uppity snobs ever there was.
  6. It’s during the school holidays. Everything will be outrageously more expensive.
  7. Aldi? ALDI?!!!!. And you call me lower-class? Pffft.
  8. It sure will. I hope Brodie plays the game of his life. And Luke suffers a season-ending injury. Joking. So not joking 🙃
  9. My thoughts exactly! Out with the old, in with the new, as they say. Had it been Jayden or Weids I would’ve left it as is. But like they’d ever be included in one of these calendars. 🙄
  10. Speaking of the girls having a good time: it’d be awesome to see a big crowd at training tomorrow morning. The girls deserve to have a heap of support from as many people as possible. And you wanna see appreciation? They have so much time for us fans and are always happy to engage. And of course, while you’re there, visit the Demon Army sausage sizzle. Come and have brekkie in the form of a snag in bread, with or without onions, only $2:50 (I know right, caveman prices) or a snag in bread with a drink (soft drink or water) for $4 (breakfast in Melbourne for under $5… I’d like to see that!) ❤️💙 Princes Park Gates open at 8:30am (snags sizzling also at 8:30) Training commences at 9am BE THERE!!!
  11. Never too late to find out, OD. 🙂 Hashtag come on in, the water’s fine.
  12. And every team would play every other team once, which is fair.
  13. I’m sure it’s the latter because going by his posts rpfc is clearly a big fan of our W team, and W footy in general. 👍🏽
  14. Just wanted to mention something I noticed on Friday night that was pretty cool. So, before every match - men’s and women’s - we (banner crew) usually line the race and clap and cheer the players as they head back to the rooms after warmup on the field. When doing so on Friday, among the players were some of the coaching staff, BBB being one of them. The many fans were calling out the girls’ names and no one even really noticed BBB. Moreover, he kept his head down and didn’t engage with the fans, and this seemed intentional. He knew it’s not about him. Noteworthy because on GameDay in the men’s, BBB (along with Harmesy and Kozzie) is one player who always engages with us the most. I reckon it’s pretty telling in terms of respect for our players.
  15. They appear to be making things up as the season rolls along. Clearly (and sadly) a priorities issue.
  16. To be fair, rpfc lives in Canberra. I think he may’ve been referring to the many, many Dees fans who live in Melbourne, fans who physically are able to go but cbf going.
  17. I just wish they’d name a ground, any ground really. Or at least a day (Sat or Sun). I know we have to wait until we find out which two are playing in order to adhere to the home-ground advantage thing (which has already been compromised, anyways) but it’s ridiculous that 16 (or 17?) days out there’s no definite plan. Unlike the men, most W players have jobs and need to plan around that. As do the fans. If we make the GF we have members who’ll be going regardless of where or on which day it’s being held (incl. if interstate) but geez it’d be cool to know in advance. Personally I’m moving house at the same time so a lil heads-up would go a long way. That said, if definitely in Melb, my guess is Marvel, which has been mooted since the beginning.
  18. Serial [censored]-stirrer right here, Kat. Posts deliberately inflammatory comments that are guaranteed to attract attention for the sole purpose of attracting attention. Sad, really.
  19. I heard season 8 may begin during the period when the AFL bye rounds are happening, meaning in the first half of June 2023. But of course that’s unofficial. Even the players themselves probably don’t know yet.
  20. Apparently the curator was confident it could be done. Clearly he was the only one. 😂
  21. https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/womens-afl/afl-hit-by-more-venue-drama-as-baffling-punt-rd-call-still-causes-headaches/news-story/f912c3f8dbd599b129f64394feb99e96 No to Metricon and No to the Gabba. The poor Lions. Diddums. 🤭
  22. https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/1246202 There will be a bbq put on by the Demon Army at this Saturday’s open training at Ikon. ❤️💙
  23. Those who can go but choose not to are the ones who are missing out… big time.
  24. The girls play an exciting brand of footy. It’s a joy to watch. They’re daring and fearless and as @BDAstated they may not always pull it off, but when they do - which is more often than not - it’s bloody exhilarating. An example was when Banno was taking a set shot and decided to run around the man on the mark. Not gonna lie, we were all worried for that split second that she’d come to grief. But she pulled it off and it was so worth that momentary angst. 😊 It’s amazing what confidence can do! edit: just realised I said “man” on the mark. When watching the cricket I also still call female batsmen exactly that… “batsmen.” I hope nobody’s offended but it’s force of habit. #GettingTooOldToChangeNow 😆
  25. Yes, but getting back to the original storyline in this thread, La Dee-vina Comedia, I always say your name (in my head) with a thick Italian accent. Think, Mario Bros. But that’s probs only coz I’m an uncultured ditz. 😆
