  1. The Club are under absolutely NO obligation to inform fans of the nature of injuries. What’s there to gain from publicising it?
  2. It’s dirty play. I saw Clarry’s scar (uncovered) and was shocked at how long and deep it was. I asked him if he’s worried about it being targeted and he said, “pfft, of course!” I should’ve given him a stupid question alert. 😂
  3. Great post, Luci. 👏 Incidentally, the Fritta knee thing is true. He sustained an injury during a training session when Greg Stafford accidentally flattened him. He had surgery immediately upon season’s end.
  4. … too bad that ridiculous thread is no longer available, huh. 🙄 edit: sorry NeveroddoreveN… I was up most of the night working in order to free up time for today’s match, therefore I’m grumpy. Note to self: don’t post on DL BEFORE coffee.
  5. They’re actually lopping the whole foot, NC. The logic is you can’t injure something that ain’t there no mo. 👍🏽
  6. Sure is. But I avoid the sadness simply by turning off the TV… 😁
  7. That’s exactly the reason. There’s no harm in keeping it quiet but there’s a potential for harm in making it public. I’ll be at his mum’s birthday party next Friday and while I won’t betray his family’s confidence, I’ll observe him closely since his mum says we’ll know how he’s travelling based on his dancing prowess. True story 😁
  8. No, I can’t. That’s because Fritta himself isn’t necessarily given a ready-by date. But he’s always informed of his progress and to date he is well ahead.
  9. I meant that if the Club is keeping it quiet, then anything you read or see in the media can’t be reliable info. Like many injuries, the prognosis changes as time goes on. Fritta is an unusually fast healer and is significantly ahead of where he’s expected to be atm. I can’t say anything more about it, but it’s not hot bath/razor blade time.
  10. The Club is keeping this under wraps. All that’s left for fans is what’s reported in the media and as the old saying goes, don’t believe everything you read.
  11. Yeah but sometimes it’s the complete opposite. Especially for those who’d rather ugly cry on their own while halfway to Jolimont station before the siren’s even blown. Not that I’m one of those sadsacks.
  12. We’re not allowed to drink in our bay but I wouldn’t want to anyways. The DA never leave before the final siren. We have to cheer on the team right ‘til the end no matter the score. This is the sole thing I struggle with. Can you imagine how hard it is to chant and sing when a loss is inevitable? And (in my case anyways) through tears? That match in particular was gruelling in this respect. Emotionally very taxing. Luckily there’s always the opposite to help balance things out… Round 22 vs Carlton last year comes to mind. Kozzzzie!!! ❤️💙
  13. I know it’ll soon be nought but a distant memory, Layz. It wasn’t just the revolting treatment of HP, though. It meant the end of our season. Such a heartbreaking sight was packing up all our gear: flags, floggers, giant heads, everything, in total silence and with most everyone crying. I mean, I cry every time we lose, so no biggy there. But seeing the ordinarily stoic types in tears was hard to take. Also, only two weeks prior we’d beaten them at the Gabba (awesome match!) and of course the great win over them that ended our three-game losing streak (having been 10 and zip) mid-season. Some games just stay with you for longer than they should. Personally, this is one of them.
  14. Even if it was never mentioned again I’ll never forget it. I have an endless supply of pins to stick into my Zorko and Jarrod Berry voodoo dolls. 🤬
  15. There’s no place for music during matches. You don’t go to concerts expecting to be shown little clips of footy in between songs. Related: how good is it to watch Geelong getting done right now! 🥳
  16. And that’s exactly what I’ve done, Azz! This is from last year’s calendar… So, it was either that ⬆️ or this ⬇️ 😁
  17. The number of kids you see with 36 on their jumpers is a reminder of how much he’s adored. These kids likely have no say in which team to barrack for (😉), but they’re Kozzie fans by choice. That’s a lot of little Dees hearts on the line.
  18. The second the fixture was announced the cost of flights to Perth soared. It’s during school holidays and it’s also Easter weekend. Up until our bye round, this is the only match I won’t be attending. Partly because of the criminally high airfare and partly because Perth. 😁
  19. Yet this thread will probs end up twice the length of the LJ one.
  20. So, he should do jack about it? It’s small gestures like this that kickstart big movements.
  21. Throw this into the deal… If that doesn’t get him to stay, nothing will. 🙃
  22. Defs a need to apologise. I should’ve known better than to comment on Kozzie’s girlfriend when you clearly know her better than I do.
