Football commentary does my head in
We need a top 5 for worst commentators. Honestly that could easily be stretched to top 10

Why isn't Kozzie going through the middle anymore?
Canāt remember the second half, but he definitely started the first two quarters in the middle like he normally does. He only ever does it on the very first bounce of each quarter though

Where did you find out thatās what happened to Mitch Brown? Iāve found it frustrating to get info on it! He came off at quarter time last week and didnāt play this week, but they didnāt mention him at all in our injury list. Surely they could of mentioned he was a ātestā.

BBB had a shot stopped right at the line. #BROWNWATCH (only listening, im not actually there)- Local media pundits not taking MFC as a serious threat.
We are 2 games clear of non top 4, and you admit we are likely to win another 4. Leaving out doggies, it means each of Cats, port and lions winning at least 6/8 games and jump us on %, or 7/8 games with us losing all 4 of the games you mentioned. While I understand those teams are great and have a relatively soft draw left over, statistically it is likely that they will drop at least one of those games each, or that we will win one of the four games you believe we will lose. Obviously it could be very Melbourne to drop one of the games you believe we will win, but the odds of all of that happening are very low, as demonstrated by our odds of staying top 4 are $1.08 on Sportsbet. the stats arenāt with you, itās your longstanding disbelief in the dees that makes your mind up for you.- Local media pundits not taking MFC as a serious threat.
I hope at some point you truly do put some faith in the Dees mate.- Local media pundits not taking MFC as a serious threat.
https://www.sen.com.au/news/2021/06/30/west-coast-great-predicts-how-the-top-eight-will-finish-come-seasons-end/ Going with the OP, Peter Sumich doesnāt even think Melbourne will finish top 4! I can definitely understand why people think doggies will finish on top, but surely not rating us a likely top 4 spot is pushing it. (Touch wood)- Local media pundits not taking MFC as a serious threat.
Kane Cornes is very clever in his role at sparking up debate and conversation through each week. I doubt he truly believes most of the things he comes up with. Hard to hate him when you look closely at what his actual role in the media is, and how well he knows his audience and what will rile them up.- 2021 Injury List
Surely if he went down first quarter and didnāt come back youād think something is wrong with M. Brownās heel. Weird they wouldnāt at least just mention it and say heās ok, but hopefully it just means heās fine for this weekend!- CASEY DEMONS: Rd 11 vs Essendon
Has Mitch Brown gone down injured? Havenāt seen him at all since his missed set shot in the first quarter- CASEY DEMONS: Rd 11 vs Essendon
Agreed. Just bounce the ball!- CHANGES: Rd 15 vs Essendon
IN Viney, B.Brown. OUT Weid, Sparrow. Besides Tomlinson who I think is now clearly the better option over Petty when fit, we should be able to field our best possible side against Essendon- CASEY: Rd 05 vs Geelong
Very frustrating that there isnāt a live stream provided. We all saw in the Richmond vs Casey game how effective one camera following the play with no commentary can be, and it surely isnāt that difficult to set up and execute it. The firsts arenāt playing today so, all the focus easily should be on Casey (besides teams being announced for tomorrow). Sometimes I feel Ben Gibson and the melb media team are truly clueless as to what the supporters really want from them. So much vested interested in watching Casey play, that should be a priority whenever possible at home games.- What they're saying down at Punt Road
Got me. Ah well ?- CHANGES: Rd 06 vs Richmond
The clear changes: If available (as Goody and now Burgo have really hinted toward) May and Fritsch IN M.Brown and Petty OUT Obviously we need one of our tall forwards in, and I feel thereās two main options. Who ever actually comes out is INCREDIBLY stiff, and I donāt envy the selectors. Option 1: We take Jordon out with Gus taking his role, while also possibly sharing the wing with McDonald. I feel like Goody is really preferring players sticking to their roles they have worked on this pre season, so I find it hard to lean toward Goody changing Gusā role when heās doing so well on the wing. Tmac will probably player higher up the field anyway no matter which tall comes in. Heās clearly not getting dropped, playing great footy atm. Goody has been adamant that he isnāt going to play back, itās frustrating that so many people donāt watch his interviews and jump on the forums. Option 2: Taking either a half forward off to fit them in (Jones off the table this week, so only option is Milkshake), or take off a small (ANB, Spargs, Kossie). The stats (and our own eyes) are clearly showing us that we are doing so well this season because of our forward pressure, so highly doubt any of these guys come out. Particularly against a team like Richmond, and especially when we are bringing a tall in who will not bring the same pressure. I think for the best balance it will be: B.Brown IN Milkshake OUT (and made sub) Weid and Melksham stiff, but BBB has a bigger presence up forward and already has more feathers in his cap. He was also more consistent than Weid in the half they played in the VFL praccie match the week before. Weid has always struggled with consistency, so would love to see him really bang the door down with more strings of dominant VFL performances. Truly no idea how they would have all 3 + Gawn/Jacko, but I donāt think that will be a problem to consider this week.- What they're saying down at Punt Road
Special shout out to @Axis of Bob who is the only semi-regular poster to not say something completely whack that I can think of over the years. @binman probably fits into this category as well ? ? The rest are entertaining though ?- What they're saying down at Punt Road
Iāve never even seen in all of demonland a pregame comment that balanced tbh- Ed Langdon on RSN (13/4/21)
Itās a reference to a hashtag Gawny and Gus are trying to get trending every time there is a picture of Langdon (Lingers). They talk about him a lot in their podcast.- CHANGES: Rd 05 vs Hawthorn
The main glimpse we have seen of him in the seniors was 2019. In a year where we couldnāt buy a mark he was the one who had sticky hands. Always an eye catcher with those hands every time Iāve seen a televised Casey game as well. A bit slow - definitely not as explosive as May and can get exposed from leading forwards, but very confident with him when the ball is in the air. Donāt really remember his disposal skills but surely will just take the conservative option.- WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
Second concussion in 5 weeks is probably more concerning than the fracture. Give him the 4 weeks off - make sure we are taking care of him! ?? - CASEY DEMONS: Rd 12 vs UWS Giants
