  1. wow, compelling.
  2. Blake Howes looked like a special player before getting injured. He will slot into midfield ruck rover type. Kicks beautifully and balanced.
  3. He is the best we have had since Barassi. Maybe even longer. I think he is better than Flower. I would like to have seen Oliver play state of origin style footy back in the day.

No doubt there is a song. Probably played at the Espy in the halcyon 1990s days

I feel like every thread I start or participate in is ultimately sidetracked by someone reminiscing about a song or gig. Not sure who, why or how and I cant be bothered trawling back. But it does get repetitively annoying.

Moniz Wakefield will come in with a bullet when he arrives too.

Kozi and Byron both start the charge in a similar manner. Lower the knees and keep their back stiff and morph into a very short range missile.

From this point on we went to a level not seen for a long time. Picture Kozzie playing along with Byron in that era. He hurts.
  9. Theres no Tom Lynch or Jeremy Camerons going around by the look of it. Walker is a much better option over the next two years than continual Weid frustration. As it stands here today, with no other options open, this is fairly straight forward to me. Walker IN (to Matty Whelan first however)
  10. Lower your eyes a bit
  11. George Grey seems to bob up in most of the highlights packages I have seen this year. Looks impressive but I have no idea about his defensive efforts.
  12. I don't think that was the case at all. Hard, courageous , quick and reliable are the traits I remember. A very good footballer and flew under the radar due to the Bogan Prince of Primary School Poetry, the other Nathan Brown.
  13. I am pretty sure you wouldn't want it to be this one.
  14. 2 beers on the couch. Wasn't aware my effort was appreciated. Cheers
  15. Cordy?
  16. Great song to have every game at some point
  17. Max is better than both I reckon. Easily. Madden was a benefactor of Roger Merrett assaulting the oppos number 1 ruck every week. Max is the most consistent and impactful ruck of the last 50 years. I didn't see Polly Farmer but from all accounts he was generational and played the game like a puppeteer , a bit like Max
  18. The daylight second theory is bs. Brisbane are a good team and so are freo. No doubt.

As a hopeful and happy exclamation mark. Scully leaving was a critical component of our cherished flag. Big thanks to little Tommy the Tird!
  20. 6. Clayton 5. Bowser 4. Petty 3. Gawn 2. Langdon 1. May If you are making a best team of the last 40 years more than half of that would have played tonight I reckon.
  21. Sounds like Melbourne FC, between 2006 - 2016

2009 AFL Draft Pick 1. Tom Scully Pick 34. Max Gawn On one pick we lost huge, but we won 100 x over on the over. Hindsight!
  23. When a free kick is paid the opposite way the players in dispute and who erred should nod at the umpire. Short sharp nod or 2. An easy emotional recalibration. Better reflex than raising arms obviously. Nod a tad harder if they need to release the valve. Just my 2 cents
  24. I think it is a good idea. Don't really like the buffoon but the idea sounds good to me first up.
  25. ok, I understand .
