  1. Well done to the football club for putting this out, maybe there has been a reaction to member / supporter reaction. For me though this needs to be the minimum standard. We get some great training reports from the demonland community which are much appreciated but I would love to see something from the club “ The Richo Report” which gives a rundown on training from their point of view, especially the closed sessions without giving any obvious secrets away. Something along the lines of the link that trav14 posted yesterday to afl ratings report which was brilliant.Just take that member / supporter engagement to another level.
  2. Agree wholeheartedly Kev. It’s like training lotto. Are they at Gosch’s or are they at Casey. If it’s at Casey will it be an open session or watching from a perimeter fence. It’s school holidays and a great chance for the club to engage with younger supporters by encouraging them to view a session. The players are great with the kids when the opportunity presents itself but the club does a real poor job of promoting / advertising training and quite frankly it shouldn’t be that hard to do in this day and age.
  3. Priority needs to be to sign Gillard beyond end of 2024
  4. Mick Stinnear mentioned at the fan forum the other night that we have a rookie spot that we will look to Ireland to fill.
  5. Serious question. Given the labour skills shortage, property developers and builders filing for bankruptcy left, right and centre and a state government that is financially committed to digging tunnels all over the city and suburbs. Even the airport rail has been suspended .Exactly what year do you envisage these 80 000 people moving in to Fisherman’s Bend????? Fisherman’s Bend would be so far down the pecking order of priorities it’s not funny. Caulfield is feasible, doable and could happen reasonably quickly as it’s in the scheme of things not a massive project in comparison to constructing a suburb as is your angle. I genuinely couldn’t care less where the project is location wise. I just want my club to have its own elite training facility as soon as possible.
  6. Good Crivens Picket, I know it’s the festive season but 8:30am in the morning on a Wednesday is a bit early to be on the [censored]. Middle of nowhere. It’s only next to a train station that is a 10 minute trip from the city with 2 lines that junction from there. Next to a university. Five minutes drive from the biggest shopping centre in the country. A few kilometres from the south eastern freeway. It’s in the middle of built up suburbia. Not sure what box it doesn’t tick. I do love your Casey reports and I do quite like the Casey facility but please, “middle of nowhere”. The only thing it would be in the middle of

..is a race track.
  7. They don’t deserve her, can’t even keep a cricket pitch dry.
  8. Something about Eastern Ranges and gun small forwards. “The Wizardess” calling her a witch is a bit harsh.
  9. Love your second point Jim. In regards to your first point you would seriously hope not. A few supporters at training aren’t going to make that much of a mess. Memo to Melbourne FC. I am more accurate in front of the bowl than you are in front of goal.
  10. Couldn’t agree more Earl. The only reason I can come up with is that they intend to do a lot of goal kicking practice so let’s keep it closed to the public.
  11. Wow losing West and Gay, in a team that is not flushed with strong bodies wouldn’t have thought we could afford to lose either. A genuine shame to lose them both. On a side not Jemma Rigoni has some serious wheels. In that Rookie Me clip in the stingrays game she torched one of my club players on the wing and Charlotte is not slow. Will be an exciting inclusion to the list.
  12. Interesting that questions should be about on field matters only. Obviously still nothing to see here about a permanent training facility. Surely the club can’t keep ducking and weaving around this for too much longer. Interesting to see if they field any questions about or address this at the forum.
  13. Brisbane is a lovely city Ox. What I meant though is the Brisbane Lions like Geelong benefit from playing out of a heavily tax payer funded stadium. Hence the Geelong of the north comment. On a side note. Like Geelong, Brisbane also has its fair share of 6 fingered, banjo playing, sister shagging rednecks who may or may not go by the name of Zeke, Jethro or Jed.
  14. Brisbane

.The Geelong of the North.
  15. Might make his girlfriend McHappy though
  16. Don’t disagree with you. Not sure what the answer is when you are competing with cricket season or the lead in to. Our bigger stadiums have cricket pitches and what curator is going to allow a game of football on it while they are trying to prepare pitches. Plus there is a safety issue for the players as well as those pitches are rock hard.
  17. Think there is a bit to this DeeZone but I also think that Adelaide and Brisbane also provided a bit of a blueprint on how to beat us. Physicality and pressure is our kryptonite. Beat us at the contest and pressure us to deny us our running game.
  18. Couldn’t agree more George. Further to what you have said we were bullied physically by Adelaide, Brisbane and North. Westy is not in the team for her disposal but what she does well is provide a strong body that is good in the contest which seems to be the way for the AFLW midfielder. She’s a keeper for me if she can focus on wining the ball on the inside and distributing by hand to our runners more.Personally not too fussed about losing Sheriff or Birch. Will be an interesting off season where we could do with a bit of a clean out of some players that are “injury prone” and we have a few light bodied outside players that I think we could afford to lose. How brave our list management team will be is of interest.
  19. Do I still get my slab of beer????
  20. Thought the saying was “like a blue arsed fly” not like a Bluey arsed fly”
  21. Is this sunglasses at training strictly a Western Australian thing???
  22. Thanks, would have helped if I opened the article. In my defence though the article was about Collingwood and I am a man of principle.
  23. Bracks and Baillieu were also both Geelong supporters which helps.
