  1. No doubt Harley Reid will be a very good AFL footballer. I just hope that we use our draft hand to balance our list better. We do not need another bull, yesterdays game just reinforced to me that we need some outside players to compliment our inside players. Two outside players with a bit of foot speed and elite foot skills will help sort out the connection issues we have with that last kick into the forward line. Yes Harley can play a bit outside as well but give me two picks over one.
  2. Not bad, but I had a dream of McKerchin or Duursma delivering the ball lace out to JVR with Watson at his feet…….there was movement. Much rather use this draft to fill a few needs than go all chips in on Reid. We need to sort out delivery / connection from midfield to forward line and to have an absolute sniper that scores goals for fun and has some serious X factor.
  3. Dear Santa, (Jason Taylor) Here is my wishlist First pick McKercher / Duursma Second Pick Watson
  4. You’ve got 24 rounds of football to earn the right to play finals. If you’re not good enough then you’re not good enough. I hope the clubs treat this idea with the contempt that it deserves.
  5. “The Colonel” Sanders may be unavailable to us. According to Channel 7 North won’t be receiving a priority pick but they may be granted priority access to Sanders as he is a part of their Next Generation Academy.
  6. Most likely training on the Roache Oval. Played away there a few times. The surface itself is great and the school has a passion for football. Change room area under the grandstand there is small. Not a bad facility to train at but in terms of the best in the APS I would have gone Scotch or Caulfield Grammar (Wheelers Hill)
  7. Absolutely, I would love us to roll the dice on one of the Tasmanian’s (leaning towards McKercher) and Watson. We need to balance our list with some outside players with speed, elite disposal and genuine forward craft.Would rather use all our picks to fill some needs than go all chips in on Reid.
  8. Good Call. Not sure WTF we were thinking having Spargo as the sub a few games ago
  9. Although he didn’t score a goal from it, Trent Rivers run and carry in the last was up there with the best I have seen by a Melbourne player at the MCG. Right up there with Jack Watts and Shane Woewodin.
  10. Congratulations Praha. That there is a script for “Football Porn” Just needs to be narrated by Barry White.
  11. As a Melbourne supporter I was happy for two reasons 1/ That it was a goal 2/ It went that high I thought it might bring snow.
  12. What I liked was that Jordon was trying to sacrifice himself and provide blocks for Trac at stoppages.
  13. Currently being used by St Kilda as the southern hub for its Next Generation Academy and home for Frankston and District Junior Football League inter league games. Has recently undergone a renovation for office space for a private practice physiotherapy clinic and the indoor training area and gym. My club is in that association and I do a bit of coaching there with the girls teams. St Kilda are quite lucky to have it still after they signed a long term lease there only to be seduced back to Moorabbin.
  14. Would be nice to see handball that creates run not handball that invites pressure
  15. Can also play midfield and off half back. Would also back him to take mark of the year before Kozzie as well. He is exactly what we need, a player with X factor speed, polish and lethal around goal. Hopefully we see beyond his height or lack thereof and draft him.
  16. Cannot disagree with anything that was said in that article
  17. If I was ST.Kilda I would do what they used to do at Moorabbin and leave the sprinklers on
  18. Whether BBB is fully fit or not our method of ball movement into our forward line does not suit him at all. Our ball movement is too slow, he needs it in quick to advantage side to take the mark or draw a free kick for chopping arms etc. Dump Kicks to a pocket don’t suit him as he is not strong enough to win one on one’s. He could in this scenario be used to bring ball to ground but our smalls are rarely front and square. Yesterday’s conditions were much better suited to JVR who is good at crashing packs and second efforts at ground ball. BBB is not the problem, method and selection is. We are not optimising the talents and skill sets of those in our forward line with the way we play and that is on coaches and selection committee. To be honest we are not even optimising the talents of our line coaches, surely it makes sense that a man that primarily plied his trade as a forward in Adem Yze would not be better suited as a forward coach than Greg Stafford. Stafford who plied his trade as a ruck should be in charge of the midfield group. For most of my Melbourne supporting life we have been ****house. Don’t get me wrong I am happy that we won a premiership in 2021 and playing finals but we should be better than we are, and it pisses me off that we aren’t. Does that make me a bad supporter (member). I am not of the mould that near enough is good enough, a club that was happy that Chris Judd talked to us on his return to play in Victoria and that was a win. We have 2 all Australian rucks, an élite midfield and a great backline. But the same issue of forward line connection and inefficiency and we still don’t know what our best forward line looks like. Sort it out Melbourne for [censored] sake, you’ve had long enough.
  19. Would have said to her “the only reason you’re here is because Centrelink is closed on a public holiday”
  20. Has some Nic Natanui vibes about it. Eat a bag West Coast.
