Coaching reshuffle at the Demons?
Just spitballing here. Ben Brown is cooked as a player. Currently serving an apprenticeship as an assistant with our AFLW team. My understanding is that he has a year to run on his playing contract. Give him a tap on the shoulder and get him to retire but give him a role as our forward coach. With all due respect to Stafford he cannot stay in his role as a forward coach and surprised he was there this year. If the club wants to keep him it is as a ruck coach only.

Campbell Brown calls the Melbourne Football Club "fragile"
Letās be honest we are a soft target. Right now we deserve the criticism that is coming our way. We are also a very ānice clubā that doesnāt like to rock the boat which also makes us an easy target. I would like for us to as a club openly stand up for ourselves and fly the flag a bit more than we do whether it be umpiring, tribunal decisions, facility funding. But honestly supporters getting precious or offended by people in the media criticising our Demons or Gary Lyon not sticking up for the club instead of calling them out is symptomatic of our soft underbelly. Honestly who gives a [censored] about the outside noise. Itās up to is as a club to change the narrative.

Nick Watson
#5 Nick Watson Small Forward | 24/02/2005 | 170cm | 67kg Stats: 13 disposals, 6 marks, 1 goal Watson spent plenty of time camped one-out inside 50 and getting under the skin of just about every Tasmanian defender. The mercurial small showcased great power when leading and leaping at the ball, playing above his size in that sense but also getting creative at ground level. There, he drew free kicks and burnt opponents with his turn of speed before delivering punchy passes by foot. After putting a couple of set shots wide, his lone goal came in the second quarter.

Garry Lyon tells Demons to "suck it up"
Couldnāt care less about Port tbh, but at least they used their sub and werenāt ahead on the weekend with about a minute to go in the game.We have gone from premiers to being knocked out in straight sets 2 years in a row.we blew it on so many levels and whatever comes our way from the media is deservedā¦ā¦ we just need to grin and bear it.

Elite decision makers
No surprise to me at all. Whether by instruction or they take it upon themselves to do it, the see ball get ball bomb ball into the forwardline is not an effective kick / stat. Love their ball winning ability which is elite but they are poor by foot. In front of goals this year Gawny has had more misses (Mrs) than Hugh Hefner. The only surprise to me is that Ed Langdon was not up there as well.

Farewell Brodie Grundy
Agree, Grundy should have been picked ahead of Schache. Goodwins post game press conference was bizarre. Schache picked for insurance for Max. Left TMac on in last 1/4 because they wanted a big body out there. Brodie Grundy says hello to both and would have solved both those issues. Finally what type of message does this send to Josh Schache, an unused sub. How many times was a sub not used at all this year. Poor management and decision making on all levels.

Garry Lyon tells Demons to "suck it up"
Absolutely agree with everything in that article. The truth hurts and I hope it burns in the off season and pre season and channel all of that in a positive wayā¦ā¦.change has to happen otherwise we are just making up the numbers. We are staying the same and others are catching and going past us.

Elite decision makers
Partially agree but most of these players listed are midfielders. We need better ball users in the whole front half.

Are we all on the Giants bandwagon?
The only bandwagon I am on now is our AFLW team. Couldnāt care less about the teams left. After the goings on of the last week the AFL can get [censored]!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely agree with him but as captain he can go over to the umpires at an interval to discuss those āinteresting free kicksā or non callsā¦ā¦..especially on his case. We are too nice a club. This is us though all learnings post game when itās too late, why not do something about it during the course of a game.

Donāt entirely disagree but Petty spent most of the year in the backline and Melksham a fair bit of time at Casey coming in when Fritsch got injured. Petty looked great there and Melksham a strong back half of the year but the both werenāt exactly first choice forwards. The fact is Goodwin never knew what our best forward line looked like all year.
