How did Cripps win a Brownlow? 23 touches at 83% efficiency with 151 meters Gained and only 7 kicks. Says alot more about the way he plays. A lot of sideways kicks and junk handballs. He couldn’t exploit our midfield with no Oliver. Most overrated player in the comp.

We actually won the last quarter on Saturday. 4.4.28 to 3.2.20

Our Forward line is completely lost. Every contest JVR & TMAC and Gawn if he was there were flying for the same ball and we had no one at the feet of them. I watched the VFL mini v Werribee and Smith Brown & Schache had better separation. IMO Tmac is done. Has to be dropped and Brown has to come in, he looked to be moving well of what I saw! I think Chandler needs a spell too. What do you guys think?

Yeah I remember that play. Most of the time we end up with Spargo Pickett or ANB standing at CHF for the quick kick out of the centre clearance & most of the time they stand behind their man and are out marked.

Harmes isn’t the answer but he is a senior body and had he kicked straight we’d be talking differently about his 15 possession game. I’d also have Sparrow standing at CHF for the centre bounce. Too many times our quick kicks are to undersized half forwards.

I wouldn’t say over. They probably just need to either get to the bye or have an a immediate spell. I think people underestimate how tough the initial burst of AFL games can be on debutants.

Without know if you were there. This was the worst game I’ve seen melb play since 2019. We played with no dare, fluffed kicks all day and we’re absolutely hammered in the ground ball and clearances. Which has been consistent for a month!

It doesn’t get any softer than this. Max Gawn needs to take a good hard look at himself. I’ve seen stronger leadership from a Mark Latham campaign.
