Questions for the pod. 1. How much did a 5 day break out of Adelaide effect us? Especially given we took in Gawn and jackson who were clearly not 100%? 2. Do you think Geelong showed their hand too early? To me Melb didn’t look to try anything out of the ordinary. 3. IMO- It’s time to bring Van Rooyen in and maybe Laurie as well? Spargo had 4 touches only 1 of them in our F50. Bedford (was bodied out of contests too easy) out played him had 1 more touch and kicked a goal with the Same amount of touches. Possible changes? Oliver & Spargo out. Van Rooyen & Laurie in? (Harmes/Sparrow to make up Olivers midfield time?) Also surely rivers breathing down here throat of Bowey?

I’ll be sure to remind the lions faithful the grand final will be at a venue they still haven’t won at form 8 years!

Love the pod. Never remember to listen to it live might do it tonight! A few points I'd like to raise. The Backline. Hibberd's first game back was incredibly underrated (no media attention at all), he may have made one bad clanger, but other than that, it was like he hasn't missed a beat, along with Brayshaw and a gutsy Petty (earning alot of respect at the moment playing banged up) we would have lost by 10 goals without those three. However with May back next week I would argue that now is the time to move Brayshaw back to the wing the problem with that is that Jordan has taken the wing role given to him really well, could Jordan play a Half Forward role? IMO Brayshaw's kicking into the F50 would definitely help us going in. The Forward Line We need a pack crunching Key Forward. I lost faith in the Weid last year, but what other options do we have? Does Van Rooyen even though he is young come in and just get the licence to LEAD & FLY at the packs? The way he plays reminds me of a young Hogan (not as clinical) but just as brave. Bedford has to come in at the expense of one Spargo or ANB, neither one of them is applying enough pressure at the moment, get a kid in who is dog hungry to run chase tackle and from what I've seen take his chances! Also going forward, when Joel Smith comes back from injury can he go forward like he was being tried back in 2019 in Brisbane in that practice match he kicked 6-7 as we run him into the ground. The R🤯CK! Majak was picked up as insurance. Can he come in and play a Jackson like role while Jackson takes on the #1 Ruck role?

Yeah he was an absolute gun. I once watched him hold the ball inside play while running around a goal post at Lillydale swapping hands as he came back into play and then snapping it over his shoulder for a goal. He was also a quick bowler and very very hand top order batsman.

I can see GWS getting us. They always match up well. We recently really like playing at Adelaide. all the way back to 2014. I was there for 2017 and my word do they get salty!

If Ben Brown doesnt make the protocol cut off, I'd be bringing in Mitch Brown! I wouldn't be rushing in Lever to play against a bottom 4 team (chuckles intensify). Hunt has to be the next man out. Hopefully its a dry night on thursday and he can find his form from last year. But he is struggling abit this year.
