POSTGAME: Rd 09 vs Carlton
Smug, dismissive call it what you want. Our midfield was exposed early tonight when the game was there to be won. Sure stoppages would have evened up when Carlton stopped dead in the last. But as far as I’m concerned that’s red time stoppage wins. We got opened up when it counted. I’ll give us a small out because of the 5 day break, but the failure to adapt to wet weather footy is disgustingly embarrassing..

PODCAST: Rd 08 vs Geelong
For those of you who listen to SEN (yes my alias is FOG), I rang up Dwayne’s world (Sam Edmond) today and made light of the fact that if you estimate there were 45k Melbourne fans there on Saturday. Total crowd of 52k. Thats 86% of our current membership base numbers, 54k at present. The cats just don’t turn up to games away from Geelong, he played devils advocate and said they find it hard on school nights and prefer afternoon games and asked if I felt sorry for them, to which I replied “NO it’s a Saturday night! It’s prime time!” Also another fun fact. Umpire #27 used to be a co-captain at the Northern Bullants in 2013 (aligned with Carlton) might explain a few non decisions.

NON-MFC: Round 08
The Gold Coast suns are the worst sporting experiment in the history of the AFL. Absolute stain on the resources of the every other club in the league. Their licence should be torn up and just send the players to Tasmania. They can use that stadium at GC for the Olympics!

PREGAME: Rd 08 vs Geelong
Little stat file for @binman & his burner account @Binmans PA All of this goo’ing over Cameron by the media and your mate David King. Cameron has kicked 4 goals for geelong from 4 starts against Melbourne. He has 18 from the remaining games he played for GWS against Melbourne. I reckon we know how to handle him. Our biggest issue has always been Hawkins.

Sam Van Rooyen in for Ben Brown on LTI?
I don’t know? Which was why I asked if there was anyone else we would be looking at?

Sam Van Rooyen in for Ben Brown on LTI?
I got it. But I get some people here are abit sensitive.

Sam Van Rooyen in for Ben Brown on LTI?
With Brayshaw retiring is Sam Van Rooyen available for the mid season draft? if not, surely there’s a key forward out there somewhere!! There has to be another James Podsiadly lurking in the state leagues!

Upon reflection. Given how flat footed and error ridden we were again by foot. Is it too audacious to hint at the fact Selwyn may have put abit of extra loading into the group to utilise the extra bye we get this year? Knowing full well we have enough talent to beat the tigers at 75-80% rat power? It’s arrogant to plan a few weeks in ahead, but maybe the club is putting more weight into the upcoming games against the Cats (who we have an extra 3 days break on) and then the blues (5 day break). These upcoming games are Top 4 shaping games. (8pt games dare I say it.)

Why? We're 5 and 2, and it has little to do with centre clearance numbers... If we let Carlton waltz it out of the middle to Curnow and McKay it won’t be 23-24 at half time. It’ll be 23-76 We also couldn’t hit the side of a barn when we did turn it over last night, can’t blame fatigue like against the lions.
