Unfortunately Bowey is one of Goodwin’s untouchables just like Sparrow. I thought Bowey was better this week. Sparrow is just getting caught in no man’s land too often. He could use a week at Casey to fill his boots as the main man and get some Confidence back, but Goodwin must not rate the standard of the VFL at all. Refuses to bring anyone back through it who he sees as starting 18.

Apologise to Fullarton? The coach doesn’t have to be liked by every player. I think what he said is spot on, everyone complains he gives nothing. He stated a fact. if he said Verrell was more likely to play than Fullerton as ruck maybe you’d have a case.

Salem. Whats happened to him? Looks disinterested and has next to no impact on games. Lots of sideways kicking. Has the game gone past him? He has too much class to fade into mediocrity. How do you think we can use him better?

Anyone who went in thinking we could win this didn’t take the following into account. This team is young. Last week the average age of the team on the field was less than Essendon’s and they’re rebuilding. We’ve been up for a month in terms of consistency of effort. Thats hard for young players to maintain. Freo Pumped us in Alice and we had Gawn & Max.

Couldn't disagree more. Viney could easily be used as a forward. He is a better kick for goal than he gets credit for. He applies pressure and tackles like a beast and can take a mark.

No Listed Ruckman. What an absolute disgrace. For a club that has a Ruckman (as captain) to not even replace him is an embarrassment.

Cmon mate. They aren’t trading Sparrow, he’s not having a good year, but they’re playing him on a wing and as a High Half fwd when he is an inside mid. Give Laurie more than 1 or 2 games and see if he can show something, he plays in the midfield at Casey have a look at him at AFL in the middle. Set and forget Woewoden in the 22. Agree with BBB Shache 🤝 You can call me crazy, but if the right deal came along and we could trade Salem for a high end pick/s and then use that to get a genuine B+ to A grade midfielder. I’d do it in a heart beat. I love him, but he is injury prone and slow, great skills and is tougher than he looks but unless he can consistently start to show his 2021 form he is just another half back. Apart from our forward like licking windows for 2 years, if we don’t try and replace Brayshaw we could have Carey Ablett and Farmer up forward and we’d still be [censored]. I’d also be paying out Stafford and getting an actual Forward line coach.

When you’ve got a supporter base full of members who find it to emotionally distressing to turn up. Why should the club go after him? There isn’t a softer club in the AFL than us. We have as much backbone as the apologists on this forum that think it’ll be ok and we aren’t that bad.. I’m sure I’ll be torn down for this comment. But I couldn’t care less. I went to the game and stood in the outer until the final siren went. I was one of the 5k melb members there.
