  1. Not me. I knew we were [censored]’d as soon as he retired.
  2. Like the posters before me there isn’t much to choose from at Casey. (I won’t have Billings or Brown in my side, they bring nothing of value IMO). Out: McAdam, Tomlinson, Hunter In: JVR (if fit), Laurie, Kolt FB: Bowey May Rivers HB: Salem Petty McVee C: Langdon Oliver Woey HF: Tmac Fritsch ANB FF: Pickett, JVR, Sparrow Foll: Gawn, Viney, Tracc Int Windsor, Chandler, Laurie, Turner Sub: Kolt The only other thing I’d look at would be Fullerton for Turner, but all reports he is so far off AFL standard it’s not funny.
  3. Please tell me who our 2024 versions of David Neitz and Schwartz are? I’m All ears!
  4. I left a voice message after the Eagles game and was smugly dismissed when I stated we’d be lucky to make the 4 this year Good luck explaining this result. Time to wake up and smell the Roses. This era is over, if you can’t see it, after today. I’d like to order a pair of the ā€œroseā€ coloured glasses the podcast panel is watching this season through!
  5. My sister is a 31 yr old school teacher and she couldn’t figure out how to buy a GA ticket. I literally had to screen shot it for her Ste by step. S school teachers make me worry sometimes
  6. It’s a lot easy to take a mark in defence than up fwd.
  7. Disagree. I don’t think Bowza has the same penetration or depth to his kicking. Similar skill level, but Salem has that left foot class. Bowza has the little chip kick game, but his little legs don’t match Salo’s
  8. Problem is he is scared of contact. Hunter looks to thrive on it. Unless it’s a dry fast day, Billings is useless.
  9. It would at the least explain a few things! What are you thoughts on ANB & Salems games this week? ANB looks to be evening up our centre bounces and Salem’s physicality and hands around the ball beefed up our midfield IMO. (I still think Salem should have come back through the VFL)
  10. I couldn’t agree more. If he gets a run and jump at it he can take a mark. But he has no idea how to play as a fwd.
  11. Why not? (Im Sure the arm chair experts will tell you why). We’ve had no luck when drafting for future prospects in this. Why not take a punt on a mature Key Fwd.
  12. As Andy would say, we should have beaten Stkilda by 60+ today if we kicked straight and after losing to WCE the percentage would have been more than handy! ANB’s form is growing by the week, do you guys think he has been given the impossible task of filling the whole Gus left? Also Might be harsh after 2 games, but how many more games will McAdam get if he fails to hit the scoreboard? Pressure acts, yeah yeah I get it. But he is supposed to be a marking medium sized goal kicking opportunistic fwd, all I’ve seen so far is mis timed flies at a pack and a very small frame being pushed off the ball.
  13. He did more in the first half than Billings had in the past 4 weeks. He’s tougher than Billings and matches him for skill. The knock on he tapped to maybe Chandler? From a 50/50 is proof of that, he even got back into defence to spoil. I don’t think Billings has done that in his entire career.
  14. I watched him from the Punt rd end. Calling what he does inside the F50 as a lead is lip service. The guy runs 5ms and gives up. He should be leaving up at the kicker trying to create space behind him instead of contesting it up, he has 0 craft.
  15. Careful, you’re stating to sound like Chris Scott in his post match prelim presser in 2021
  16. He can join McAdam.
  17. Gee the saints are SH eeee T. Thats the softest AFL midfield I’ve seen since we got called Bruise Free in 2011. Hard to take much out of that. If we were any good we would have been 8 goals up at half time. Stafford needs to go at the end of the year. Can we get an actual modern day forward coach?
  18. If ā€œJeffoā€ can put together a big month in the VFL constantly kicking 3-4 goals setting up a few and taking marks and working hard. Sure. But this ain’t the Roo’s era, we aren’t getting games into kids. Get a grip and strap I for a bumpy ride to rd23.
  19. More or less I did. But we need to find one. I’m hoping Jason Taylor has had enough time since the Brayshaw retirement and more importantly as been told to look for a ready made replacement. Its not that our Era/Window is closing, its more that other clubs have come into their own making it harder to win a šŸ†.
  20. I think anyone taken in the mid season draft would go hand in hand for development. If they’re good enough to take for immediate impact and come off they would be good enough to develop. Essendon-Nick Martin, Pies-John Noble, Eagles took Maric last year, Richmond took Marlon Pickett. The talent it there, you just have to find it and given we lost Brayshaw early I’m sure we have been having a good look! And I’d argue any Key Forward showing promise at VFL/WAFL level would be better than anything we have atm. Fair point re Ruckman being a longer shot, but we only have 1.5 back up options in the VFL.
  21. You may not have pre listened to my question @Demonland. But given the Mid Season Rookie draft is 7 days away (9 at the time of recording) didn’t appreciate the dismissive answer to yeah it’s ages away.. From what I see 12 clubs have at least 1 spot available and some even 2 or Brisbane, north and Richmond. If you don’t think this is important, it’s a very short sighted view, given the clubs depth up forward and in the ruck atm. Theres a Key Forward playing for the pies who looks likely and a ruckman in geelong that could be of significant interest!
  22. I don’t need to. I listen to George every week on the pod and that’s enough.
  23. Another soft Key Forward. That’ll save us.
  24. This is 680% correct! The midfield is just as lame a the fwd line atm!
