I think Weid is becoming the whipping boy Jack Watts was. My point is Sam has had far more support and opportunity to develop than Jack did. Yet seems to have stagnated at the top level. We are now a club past the development stage. So I think you can't "get games into him" while we are now legitimately in the Premiership Window. so if someone else comes in and plays the role he couldn't so be it & if he chooses to leave because he couldn't get a game, that's not the clubs fault.

Same years of development would make Weideman look worse.

Here’s an interesting comparison. Take into account Watts played in a far worse side. Jack Watts (50 games) 2009-2012. Goals- 37.18 Contested Marks- 49 Avg Disp- 13 Tackles- 89 Sam Weideman (49 Games) 2016-2021. Goals- 49.29 Contested Marks- 69 Avg Disp- 9 Tackles- 67

And in this extended negative period in the clubs history was exacerbated by the fact that the AFL decided to bring in 2 expansion clubs at the lowest Footballing part of the clubs history. Making it incredibly hard to get access to the AFL's best young talent, making it harder for a club at absolute rock bottom to rebound upwards and get the point we are now. (Given we shot ourselves in the foot at crucial stages of the late 2000's early 2010's) The dilution of the talent pool you could argue effected clubs like us Carlton and to a lesser extent Essendon & Obviously Richmond who (through smart recruiting held their nerve and the rest is history) incredibly badly. Where as the Hawks peaked and topped up and enjoyed an extended dynasty.

What the club also needs is more a permanent Office for the Football club. So that we are not scattered all over the place.

I would have like to of known if we will be getting an NT game later in the year as is rumored and roughly how much we may have maid up playing QB at the SCG.
