I thought this was going to be about the wingers club.
There is alot of talent waiting to come in and I'm sure there is another Bowser up our sleeves with JT recruiting but given we put on show the biggest demolition in just over a 1/4 in GF history I don't think any of the current players would be concerned about their spot.

What are the odds of Collingwood winning the wooden spoon in both women's and men's leagues?

I love when supporters say stuff like, oh if the Dees lost Petracca, Oliver and Gawn they would miss the finals. Wow thanks for that amazing insight. If we take the best 3 sides out of any side they are going to struggle big time, there aren't many players of their calibre going around.
I still actually think if Gawn went down we would be ok with Jacko rucking and then another as the back up anyway.
If the Brisbane Lions lost Voss, Simon Black and Akka they wouldn't still be talked about as one of the best sides ever.

The Oliver / Petracca combo is a great point.
It's obvious because they both spend so much time in the midfield and centre bounces together but the chemistry between the two coming into their prime is why we won a premiership and why we are favourites again next year.
We've all watched the GF replay plenty of times but the number of times Oliver gets it to Petracca or vice versa and the recipient does damage is incredible.

I thought the 7000 mile kick was going to be Kozzie or Spargo landing one in Chocko's roofless car for kicking practice.

I need to start this post with a disclaimer. All players should be free to go out and do as they please within the legal framework of legal rules.
I bumped into Dusty Martin at a restaurant last night and asked him how it feels to take a back seat to Oliver and Petracca as the best players in the league. I shouldn't have said it and I regret it. I want to be humble Melbourne supporter.
Dusty wanted to punch my lights out but was too smart for that. I was amazed at how much weight he has lost. He would be more similar to Bailey Fritch than Petracca on the scales at the moment.
If I had my time again I wouldn't have said anything. Thanks Dusty for being as diplomatic as one could be in a split second decision.
Go Dees and I hope supporters show more diplomacy than me.

Normally I read what has been written in a thread before I post.
Today I haven't bothered
Every other team should look at the fixture and panic if they play Melbourne twice.even worse for them if it's in WA or Geelong

I went for one that wasn't visible and helped me take the P!ss. I got to D and had no room left.

I wouldn't read much into it. When we were hopeless we bought in players like Vince*, Lamumba and Dawes which would have increased our age profile.
* I love Vince
Players normally get to 100 games if they are good footballers. But some get there cheaply if they play for struggling clubs.
What you really want is your best footballers at around 100 games and a culture to get the younger players heading towards it.

Geelong and West Coast look pretty old
The two teams with the strongest home ground advantage.
Interesting to see how that plays out.

It took Jack Viney 39 matches over three seasons to notch up 7 wins.
Timing is everything! If it wasn't for Jack Viney's years of hard work, Bowser wouldn't be 7 from 7 and a premiership player.

Also a much much harder sport to succeed in at the highest level.
It's a risky move to pick basketball over AFL in Australia unless you are an absolute A+ talent with a future in the NBA.
I can't understand the pay grade in the NBA.
Patty Mills has shot the lights out in now what is an increasingly 3 point pame.
Ben Simmonds can't even make a free throw and isn't what I would call a culture maker.
I reckon Jason Taylor could go over and recruit with the same principals.

I was on the ground level and didn't have any issues either. I imagine that the food and beverage outlets would have been busier during the breaks.
I was on ground level and had to wait a while but it was during the 2nd quater so I didn't mind and neither did anyone else.

This may well have been covered in another thread but why is Jacko staying in Perf but Rivers is back for training? Pretty sure I saw a photo on Instagram of Kozzie in Hamilton Island - why isn’t he back?
To get to Perth for Christmas would take weeks quarantine. It made since for the Perth boys to stay there until after that.
Not sure about Rivers.

Among the things we learned at today’s celebration of the 2021 premiership is that preseason training starts tomorrow. Not sure where or whether the entire list will be on hand but I’m told that we start our campaign with little in the way of injuries to worry about at this stage. We also know some of our interstaters are still home - Luke Jackson and Kozzie Pickett along with our WA recruits who most likely will remain in WA until post Christmas.
We look forward to the return of our track watchers and the arrival of new ones on the scene.
It was pleasing today that nobody was on crutches or travelling like they had post season operations that could derail their preseason.

Garry Lyon was a wonderful MC. Funny, focused and inviting.
Not that focussed. He forgot about the bloke that kicked a bag wearing RDB's famous number.
Agree he was good though.

Dare to dream Demon fans, by all accounts he is a ripping young fella. Will be taller that his dad, let's hope he has inherited Jeff's incredible leap, athleticism and beautiful kicking action. He certainly looked good on his under age video highlights. A mouth watering father/son prospect for the mighty Dees under the tutelage of Captain Max and our merry band of coaches.
Don't worry about that. I read somewhere on here he is breaking schoolboy high jump records.

I'm loving Kate Rofey the more I see of her. Loved the fact she highlighted Kozzie's bump on Hunter.
The after her speach she picked her beer and kept drinking it as she walked back towards the players race whilst posing for selfies with supporters.

I reckon that was Andrew Leoncelli, who did the Kick for Cash at Quarter time with Guy Rigoni, but for some reason he was wearing a No 9 jumper.
Gus was stiff not to land one he was peppering it.

Christ, if someone got first goal and the Norm it would pay a fortune. I wonder if we'll ever see such a thing.
They would have to be a combination of Daicos and Dusty.
One more sleep until Christmas.

Is Melbourne's midfield one of the best of all time?
in Melbourne Demons

When our backline is talked about May and Lever have been fantastic and get the glory but anyone who doesn't have Salem in the same picture hasn't watched enough of Melbourne.
