  1. Yep..completely assumed role as victim. Should be able to do as he pleases in his private life. Not a football matter. May and Melky not afforded the same right to privacy. Joke
  2. All his holiday snaps from the GC after the Granny seem to show he was perfectly fine and just having a massive bender with mates. The mental health card being pulled is a disgrace.
  3. And you were spot on…completely untouchable now. They’ve done the same with Hunter. Libba before that.
  4. The fake message that has circulated social media about bikies and likening Goodwin to Bomber Thompson? Complete and utter garbage
  5. Um…because he threw a punch and must have been so upset by the comments he resorted to violence.
  6. So basically it was a bit of Banter, May was [censored] and acting arrogant, was pulled up, hot head Melky steps in. May doesn’t like that. He alphas up and the fight begins. Settle down media
  7. I guess we will be hearing from Melksham after all. If either party has lied to the club, they are up ship creek and Gawn and the club will have egg all over their face
  8. I'll say it again, the silence from Melksham is deafening. He has the power to come out and explain what happened and what was said. We haven't heard a thing from him. If he reckons it is all done and dusted, as May does, why wouldn't he come out and back the club's decision and clarify his involvement.
  9. Gleeson is a Collingwood supporter with a deep hatred for Melbourne. Unsurprising that he is having a follow up dig. Pretty balanced for him
  10. Let’s be dead honest, any reputation we built in the last year has been undone by Petracca May and Melksham in a week. Once again the media’s dog to kick, the butt of social media jokes and more. It’s is tht disappointing. in a year we should be enjoying the footy, we find ourselves time warping into 2019/20. The only way we correct this, is to have a win on Monday and get rid of the naysayers and media. Good luck to the team, but I have little faith
  11. Get the CCTV and put it out there. Put this to bed
  12. Everyone talking but Melksham…why is that? Shouldn’t he have something to say? He threw the punch? He knows he is gone at the end of the year and saving it for some post career cash
  13. I’ll miss his 5 possessions and zero tackles.
  14. I’m leaning towards including Hibberd. Gives 100% every time he takes the field. I back his ability to compete. I think the forward line is NOT the issue. It’s the mids entries inside 50 tht is our problem. I’ve said this for a few weeks now, we are actually hurting ourselves by overusing the ball through the midfield. The old ‘Hollywood handball’ has crept back into our game and it means we put ourselves under pressure and create poor bombing entries. In addition, we are picking the wrong time to hold the ball up in midfield and also when to go quick. If we can fix this and start exiting front of stoppage, we can generate better looks at goal. That’s the key.
  15. I would like to see us try a replacement though. Rather than just seeing how it pans out. Turner or Daw, just to give opposition a different look
  16. The injury report sounds like Petty is in serious doubt with an AC joint sprain, unable to train until later in the week. Going to be touch and go. You’d think we’d have to emergency\sub a tall option in case he goes down again
  17. Yeah, but we have all seen how important May is to the structure of the backline. Lever is playing like a C grader without May. Cannot win one-on-one and has made critical errors under pressure. It affects are entire plans in defence. It won't be the same without May.
  18. Does that include Petracca? Who is happy to whinge about fans, despite having 6 years to correct his ball drop and goal kicking, yet has done nothing about it? Case of the massive head wobbles? He is amongst the worst to do it. We owe him a lot, but his form is patchy and inconsistent. His disposal efficiency is terrible. So when can we expect the elite response from him? Will he stand back up for the big game? I mean, will it depend in whether he is happy with the level of support? Max tried to carry the entire team on his back last week. Viney has tried his guts out too. Lever has plenty of leadership left in him. ANB too....but the biggest response must come from the midfield, who have been beaten at clearances and used the ball poorly in general play. A lot of the selfishness of 2020 creeping back in. over to you...
  19. Oh well...good luck to her. You can't really begrudge her, albeit a disappointing result for us
  20. Geelong: Daisy Pearce (current Melbourne player and captain) So she plays for Melbourne and coaches Geelong. Absolutely bizarre. How does the club allow that?
  21. Would you have concluded the same if we had maintained the lead the other night, despite the absence of May? It was a narrow loss. Yeah the forward line was an issue, but we should have put that game to bed...Same thing can be said of 1st half vs Freo. 2 weeks ago we were been talked up as invisibles. The media is waiting and hoping that we fail, coz they can't write their usual stories. It's already started. 'NO crowds" "Up at the snow" "internal fighting" blah blah. We, along with the Dogs, are the only teams who have increased the Average Home Attendance from 2019 (year prior to Covid). Where is that story? Why are crowds down across 16 other clubs?
  22. Yeah, the wheels have come off they track.. I was fooled. Petracca hates the fans, Steve punched on with Melky, contracts on hold, Roger’s under attacked.. status quo is restored
  23. https://www.sportspromedia.com/news/afl-2022-season-average-match-attendance-covid/ Melbourne and the Western Bulldogs are the only AFL teams averaging higher home-and-away attendances in 2022 compared with 2019. That figure factors in the 58,002 who attended the season-opener between the two clubs.
  24. That’s a silly take. COVID and the flu are rife atm. My father is 71. Has been going every week for 50 years. Has had reservations this season. Also, finds the late night finishes too hard and elects to stay at home and watch on TV.
