  1. Nick Bryan from Essendon would be one that I'd target. Reportedly open to a move. Essendon confident he will stay, but they are a rabble atm. Could be an easy get.
  2. The curse of the Junction Oval is real
  3. Sydney's form is kind of hard to read. Since July 2nd, they have really only beaten two good sides. The win against Fremantle in the West was impressive, but far less impressive than the demolition we handed them. Whilst they have won more games than us in that period, they have played some ordinary opposition, Collingwood aside. They were beaten by Essendon, who were horrendous. They struggled against the Saints. Took a long time to overcome North, eventually prevailing. Smashed the insipid Giants. In comparison, we did a job on Adelaide away from home. Narrowly lost to Geelong, playing some of our worst football down at the sardine tin. Ended Port's hope of finals in an impressive outing in the Alice. Bottled the game against The Bulldogs, after leading all night. Smashed Fremantle in the West. Experienced the Collingwood comeback. Hard fought win against a desperate Carlton. Deestroyed Brissy! While our form is patchy, I'd argue that we have played stronger opposition and had some tough road trips along the way. Short turnarounds and back to back travel. The confidence of Swans fans, based on some of those comments above makes me laugh. I particularly loved the comments about Tracc and Oliver being wasteful with possessions. Would love both to completely tear it up in the Qualifying Final.
  4. As @Travis Bootspointed out, I do not believe those stats include the MCC of AFL members allocation, which is why I detailed the MCC stats below. In essence, based in pre-sales, we have 38k + 21k (MCC) + AFL members = anticipated crowd. Sorry if the earlier post was ambiguous. I guess the weather will determine whether we get 70K. If it's a nice night, I expect everyone of the pre-purchased tickets to show up, a heaving MCC and a healthy 68-74k crowd.
  5. SEN just reported on the ticket sales from yesterday... apparently 38K tickets were sold for our game. 62k for Geelong v Collingwood. There was nothing on what sections were sold or how many MCC guest passes are included in that figure. Based on that, I think we are looking at a crowd of 60-65k. The MCC sold in excess of 8000 reserved, with the extra seats allocated in Q level. The remaining 13k will rely on walk-ups on the day, that is my understanding. Happy to be corrected
  6. Is it though? The MCC may have shot itself in the foot. Hear me out.... A lot of members have reserved seats, like me. However, I am a Full-Member and plan to get in early and find a seat on Level 2, as a walk-up. I have reserved the seat in case there is no allocation for walk-ups left on Friday when I arrive. Sorry if it seems selfish, but that is the new nature of the MCC arrangements. Ideally, I would have a reserved seat and hand that back if I get into Level 2, however; there is nothing in place to facilitate this. I dare say I am not the only one reserving a seat and planning to also check out what walk up is available.
  7. Unless you are prepared the tell what you know, why comment. It’s been denied it was the comment about his sister and Bastinac. So if not his mother, then what. You don’t to repeat verbatim, but you keep making claims and then being ambiguous.
  8. Anyone know what the go is for MCC? They have created the event, but no info on when and how to buy visitor tickets or reserved seats.
  9. Not sure thts how the finals system works. Dogs and Freo don’t go through to the Prelim
  10. Saints are on the brink of falling apart. The handball that went to Ross was a shocker and the way he hung his head and gave up on chasing tells you a lot about this team’s mindset
  11. The Baggers are well and truly awake. Great to see. I hate Collingwood
  12. They have found a pulse now the Baggers. Long may it continue in this match.
  13. Carlton look like they have really heavy legs early doors. They cannot keep up with Collingwood at all. Reckon last week was their GF and they are now doing it the really hard way. In saying all that, I hope they smack the Pies
  14. Jackson’s ruck work was superb the other night. The way he then hits the ground like a cat adds something special to our team. Huge loss if he goes. I didn’t think it was until Friday night
  15. Was he the bloke that wore the #45 80s Ricky Jackson hoodie? Pretty sure he was. Very famous indeed.
  16. Just heard on the news that AAMI park is getting a 25 million dollar upgrade. Are we getting something in this?
  17. Yep, imagine if tht was game on the line stuff. I believe it was Stevic- who is a moron
  18. I think it’ll depend on our opponent. Bowey was pretty good with limited touches. Gave us some bounce, which I don’t think Salem has added this year. Salem’s kicking has been a bit iffy. That tackle Bowey laid on Zorko in the last was poetic.
  19. Very different character to Luke Ball and the way he celebrated after Coll beat St Kilda
  20. Good to get the W. But, let’s be honest, papering over the cracks. Huge cracks
  21. Didn’t even wait until they got to the rooms. Raynor celebrating a junk win, off the back of the opposition [censored] the bed in front of goal
  22. Saints been watching us kick at goal. As I said in the thread on our goal kicking issues, why players go back 30 metres when they are 20 metres in front is beyond me. They run it with an unnatural run up
  23. He was always getting off. Look at the fact that Carlton were given extra time to get the appeal in. Then over 5 hours hearing. They waited until most were asleep to sneak the decision. It’s as corrupt as it gets.
