Id like to see some math on how many extra memberships we would need to sell to cover a payout to Goodwin for the last 2 years of his contract. Landing Clarkson and to a lesser extent Lyon would surely be worth a lot of new members/extra sponsors to help soften the financial blow.

I hadn't read that article as it is Caroline Wilson, but just had a look. She does indeed say we are pursuing Clarkson and Ross Lyon. Incredible that we are now stuck between a rock and a hard place thanks to Goodwins two years left on his contract... a 4 four year deal ffs. We need to move him on now or waste another whole preseason and half of next season. This is a preseason the club could be having under a Clarkson/Lyon.

Shortened quarters, short breaks between games, three months off between round 1 and 2, every Vic team playing on foreign soil the whole season etc etc... Quality of footy was always gonna be crap under those circumstances.

Lockhart is a solid small forward.. he should be in the team at one end or the other. It really is ridiculous.

Just about impossible to win when you make a massive amount of changes, in this case 8 for GWS. I am sure they will still beat us though.
