  1. Is there some form of biblical cross zone strategy he can introduce? At least the bloke was able to rise in the face of adversity.
  2. If someone can please explain to me what Viney’s role was in the first half that’d be great. if he was ‘supposedly’ tagging Brayshaw with 2 stats v Brayshaws 16 then that is a monumental coaching fail. Oliver out and you send our number 2 contended ball winner to a tag when Harmes is in the team? Jesus Christ.
  3. The real concern is we are (on form) a chance to drop the next 3 games, which would result in 5 losses in a row. Hysterical maybe…but the threat is real.
  4. Max can maybe have a look at himself for playing the “victim” on his haunches after he loses a contest or doesn’t agree with a decision. It sets a tone.
  5. Our supporters are so insipid even the boos were drowned out by the 400 freo supporters there today.
  6. I missed our players being sucked into the marking contest with no one at ground level…..thank god this trait has come back.
  7. Blame the ups all you want. Fact is the midfield have gone to sleep again and we haven’t had it past the halfway mark this qtr.
  8. We cannot handle pressure. It’s as simple as that.
  9. Could? It’s got the brisbane game written all over it.
  10. We can’t handle the hot ball. Stock standard Melbourne.
  11. The bloke is a jet and has basically single handedly carried that side for well over over 5 years. So no.
  12. “Full credit to Hawthorn”, “one game at a time”, “gotta keep doing the one percenters”.
  13. They got 71,000 last week against the Swans at 3.20pm on a Sunday, in shocking weather. As much as I dislike the bloated frog bogan….he has somewhat of a point.
  14. The problem with this though is that it allows much quicker delivery into the oppositions forward 50 on a more regular basis. The majority of us currently have concerns with how shaky our backline looks and this is a contributing factor. Our backline traditionally functions on slow predictable entries allowing us to control and intercept. I guess we have to find a balance as the year moves forward.
  15. If Collingwood won that game against GC like we did tonight, everyone out there would be continuing to marvel at how they manage to grind games out. I’m happy with the win. Gold Coast are no joke.
  16. Bizarre because despite the midfield getting towelled I give them votes. Bowey Rivers Sparrow Viney Oliver Petracca
  17. Bowey is the most reliable player in our side at the moment.
  18. For a few years before Tassie come in and get every draft concession under the sun. They are done for a decade.
  19. He’s clean…but too clean. For his height he lacks overall size and strength. He’s also not naturally aggressive and that doesn’t bode well for him. I don’t think he was as bad tonight as many are making out, but I see his deficiencies. For a tall his kicking delivery is a strength. Trouble is, he’s a long way back in the pecking order if everyone’s fit.
  20. Everything clicked. Clear night at the G. Beautiful to watch. Crowd was pretty lame, but it’s North. No injuries. Seagulls absolutely rampant all game. What happened to the falcon? Onto next week.
  21. Petracca Chandler Bowey Brayshaw Grundy May
  22. While I agree Petty isn’t a forward and ultimately needs to go back he took some important contested marks in a side missing Brown, TMac and JVR unsighted at that stage. As for Hibberd we must have been watching a different game. He adds intensity and is important to our backline, especially at ground level. He shut Cumberland down after quarter time so who were the direct opponents who kicked 4 plus on him?
