Not saying you would expect it, but the fact is every club is better for people like you, who show unwavering unconditional support. That aside, I’m sure I can speak on ā€œDoug’sā€ behalf in saying he isn’t playing a ā€œholier than thouā€ card, he’s just passionate and wants to see more supporters at games. Why wouldn’t he? 16k in this day and age for a prime time game is pathetic.

This I can live with. NRL is fast becoming my preferred option of the two and a far better TV sport.

Sorry WCW the interstate comparison is just plain unfair. In saying that of course supporters on here can’t attend for an array of good reasons - distance, illness, prior engagements etc etc. I can also attest however that Doug Reemer does in fact attend games at Marvel and pork barrel stadium. You deserve full accolades and respect for your passion and support for the club in all facets, but the question ā€œDougā€ asks, regardless of inferred sanctimonious sentiment is fair enough. The attendance numbers on nights like tonight prove we have a fickle supporter base and that unfortunately is a fact.

    Did he mention Twister?
  5. I usually play alone
  6. One of the best gigs I’ve ever been to in 1997 at the Hifi Bar. Was recorded for the No Sleep Till Bedtime official release. Devin’s a genius.
  7. I can confirm he’s not here.
  8. Wow. I’ll happily put my hand up for posting that I was told first hand by someone very high up, the club were resigned to losing him at the start of the season. I can assure you it wasn’t false information or fictitious rubbish. I hope they choose to play him in the backline where he belongs from next year and try to land an experienced forward if possible.
  9. I didn’t expect to make finals before todays game and think we need to finish outside the 8 for our own good going forward. Best available mid with our first pick needs to happen. For the love of god though please make some coaching changes at year’s end to help rejuvenate things.
  10. How long you planning on sleeping for? The game won’t finish for another 17 hours.

He can do what he likes for Hawthorn when he’s playing the filth.

Despite feelings against Geelong, I’ll take a cats win tonight for our benefit please.

  14. Probably needs to filter its way down the playing group šŸ˜‰
  15. Yep. Made it up.
  16. Amway
  17. Yeah I’m sure the ground was the difference.
  18. Played in a game 3 weeks ago we lost to the tenth placed side by 92 points.

My wife and two daughters will be there tomorrow night dressed in pink - red and blue. My wife lost her Mum to breast cancer when she was 2 years old. Always a special night.
  20. I watched him pretty closely on King's Birthday and he spent half the game limping to position with what looked to be a tender foot and a grimace on his face. If he isn't 100% right then they aren't doing him or the team any favours by continuing to play him.
  21. Tomlinson, Brown, Tholstrup in Petracca, Billings, Laurie out
  22. It may be emotional after today’s result but I fear for this club. This is the front two rows on the third level of the MCC today. These are ā€œusuallyā€ highly sort after seats for any game let alone a Kings Birthday game. I sit here most weeks and this is unheard of. I have NEVER sat in a row that has no other people in it. Yes the MCC is a mixed bag supporter wise, but the MFC still has a majority MFC supporter, member base. i fear dark times ares not far away again.
  23. Dark days ahead. At least in the Neeld years I had no expectations.
  24. I’ve been as flat as a [censored] carters hat all week and resigned to a loss, but for whatever reason, a reason I can’t explain, I think we get the job done tomorrow. I think it will be ugly and it may well be the heart overruling the head, but I believe there will be redemption for last week’s performance and the stalwarts (Gawn, Viney, May etc.) won’t let this one slip. It’s the Melbourne way of course….lose us, then suck us all back in and I think that’s what’s going to eventuate tomorrow. See you at the G, I’ll be doing my bit for the boys.
