  1. Any danger of a stoppage clearance. Unbelievable
  2. Both my daughters are equally as positive as this fine young child when it comes to the MFC. Then again, they are both well aware they will be living on the streets, should either of them choose to stray from the club that was chosen for them.
  3. The “lightness” of it can be argued until we are blue in the face (and I’m pro lightness)…but when will this kid learn you can’t pull this [censored] anymore? Seems to be a reoccurring theme in his game…the tough guy act in the AFL is finished - despite exceptions clearly applying. I love aggression more than anyone, but these silly actions have to stop. He’s too important to us up forward.
  4. Win wasn’t flattering, but to come away 4-1 with 2 wins in Adelaide is outstanding. I said I would be happy to be 3-2 after this round so this is a great position to be in. Win next week heading into the bye and the lids off.
  5. He won’t win it because he isn’t a mid. Reid and Sanders etc. will for that reason but he’ll get a nomination. He’s exactly what we needed and continue to need…outside speed and precision. For an outside player he digs in hard too, which I love.
  6. Woah woah woah….ive got a beard and am covered in tattoos. But I am a man. 👀
  7. Nibbler Max Langdon Lever Rivers Viney Apologies to BBB and Chandler
  8. I’m up and about. What a win.
  9. Should be 3-4 goals down. Get Kozzie in the middle immediately.
  10. Midfield have been really disappointing.
  11. “I got the feeling..” was in reference to the conversation I had, not poor grammar. But yes, the club knew/knows how important he is to our structure and know they can no longer rely on Brown and McDonald. From the discussion I had, I think there is an agreement between the club and Petty that we will do the right thing by him, if he agreed to stay for another year while we are still in that window of opportunity….and yes that is most likely due to the fact Adelaide weren’t able to offer a like for like replacement. They believe once Petty is fully match fit and McAdam is available, the forward line will be firing.
  12. I agree…but I got the feeling there was an agreement to “stay one more year”.
  13. I can’t answer that sorry mate. As I said it may be money related or it may not be. That was purely what I was told in a conversation from a very reliable source. Of course the club will do everything they can to keep him, they just don’t think they’ll be able to.
  14. I was told by a club source
  15. The club are resigned to the fact now we will likely lose him at year’s end. I was originally of the understanding he was more than happy here, but they held him to his contract for this year given how important he is to our side. Whether it be the money or not, he is apparently “desperate to get back to SA”.
  16. It’s pretty simple for me. I collectively despise Collingwood, Richmond and Essendon the most. However only one team’s supporters have the ability to remain completely incorrigible, delusional and arrogant beyond the realms of comprehension, even when they are garbage….and that’s Essendon. This comes even after having to restrain myself during games from the baiting of Collingwood supporters in the past couple of years.
  17. There are no expectations on us this year, with the heavy media emphasis on our “disastrous” off season…they are off us and we are no longer considered the hunted. Can only be a good thing in my opinion. Hopefully we can continue to fly under the radar and just keep chalking up wins. Next two weeks are crucial, especially if we are without both May and Lever. I’ll be happy to walk away with 1 from 2 and sit 3-2 after round 5 (or 4 according to the AFL fixture).
  18. “Words cannot describe our gratitude to Gus. We’re coming for you Collingwood, like Jake the [censored] Muss”
  19. Coincidentally that’s when my leave finally starts and I’ll start sinking cans like a madman.
  20. My old man who was a Collingwood supporter was recruited to Melbourne from Dandenong High School as a 15 year old and went on to captain the under 19s in the mid 50s. He went on to play reserves for the club during the golden years but sadly never managed to play a senior game. He then left to play for Springvale in the Premier League. The rest is history and I was born with a hand knitted red and blue jumper. It’s a love hate relationship.
  21. Media career? Jeepers. Can barely string two words together and a voice like fingernails down a blackboard. Anyway….good luck to her.
  22. Thank the league for expanding the competition far too quickly for this. Not a big enough talent pool across the country to draw on. New clubs coming in throwing cash around at the existing clubs to climb the ladder as quickly as they can. Was always going to happen sadly.
