I just dont understand why the persistence with Petty as forward. aside from the odd spurt in the odd game over a few years, he has been completely ineffectve. fancy in hindsight turning down 2 1st round picks for this bloke. Good defender. Keep him there. Jeffo must be sratching his head. Goodwin's constant stubborness on this will be his downfall.

agree. another reason why Goody went back to his old ways and just stayed with the same people...and gets the same results. I think it was important to play Fullo at the time as we needed height fwd, a ruck chop out for max and he was in form at VFL level. so selection integrity stands up. also lets not forget we are 2 from 2 since he played, largely I feel as a better structured team, not directly related to playing Fullo. That said, those last 12 minutes were telling and showed while we need height, form fwd and a ruck chop out for max, Fullo is probably out of his depth. I really dont want to see JVR come back and used as fwd/ruck. Thats partly how we destroyed Weideman's career. Let him stay fwd. Campbell is only just back and is only a ruck. Therefore on the height, fwd and big body scenario, you cant go past AJ. As a result i think AJ comes in for Tom.

Howes only in because of May. If May is fit, he is in and Howes is out. McVee in for Turner. Clearly Howes is ahead of Adams in selection committee minds. Only change to that is if we need more height, then Adams in the only other consideration is Jeffo in for another tall target FWD. Does re replace Melk?

no doubt there wil be significant change to list at year end. What happens with Trac, Oliver, Koz etc will be facinating. No doubt also McVee is still holding off for signing? I suspect Fritsch will consider a trade also However we also need to throw everything at the remainder of the season and leave no stone unturned. Some thoughts. Viney to focus on being a pressure forward only. Rotate in midfield only - not core midfield role. Fullerton to play as marking target fwd and relive Max in Ruck - this will allow JVR to purely focus on forward craft Jefferson must have a long go at it. Put him forward and leave him there with JVR Johnson and Henderson - break glass in case of emergency - do not play them in favour of kids unless they are killing it. Must play Adams. Windsor to play as outside mid Keep Langdon on the wing. dont put him in the middle - Lindsay other wing. based on Goody Presser, X is in but Fritsch not going anywhere. Interesting to see what changes are made given he is sticking to the players just need to keep playing together... sounds like minimal changes.

after round 2, perhaps treat this game as a mulligan....as bad as it was. That said, there are a few things you cant ignore. Effort, (or lack there of) in some cases was poor, skill was another, lack of adherance to game plan - and if our list of "outs" wasnt so long a few players in the team now would be running around at Casey. Woewodin was out of his depth. Spargo seemed a mile off the pace of the game (understandable - although why rush him back), Sparrow was MIA and Sharp just got lost. That said, some possible considerations (not all), although there is no way Goody will make this many changes - Fullerton in for Jeffo - May in for TMac - Adams in for Howes (needs to go back to Casey) - Langford in for Woewodin (need to go back to Casey) - Windsor (if fit) to come in for Spargo (like Spargo but hes not ready) - Melk in for Fritta (go back to Csey and get some form) - AJ in for Turner (pure balance and Turner can also get some form and fwd craft)

Agree. Billings has been great at finding the footy and delivering around the ground. However clearly his mental "demons" on front of goal are not going to change. Therefore there are a few options. Change his role, dont play him or as mentioned, provide an option to hand off when he is setting up for goal.
