  1. Katrina, therein lies part of the problem. If administration was moved to Casey then we would need to look for replacement admin staff. The admin were hired as CBD workers and may live north or west and travel to Casey every day would be difficult. The difficulty would also be for some of the volunteers.
  2. I think Kate was saying the facilities were great for the AFL side. Pert said that the change rooms for AFLW would be built soon.
  3. Submission voted down but some intrigue over the percentages The incumbents of the board got up
  4. Right at the end Ms Roffey told of at least a half a dozen councils she had contacted in the last few months regarding available land ( hectares as she put it) without luck. The club has been looking for 30 years we were told. Next question is when is time to give up. When is time to tell members that an inner city base is unlikely .Twenty seven million dollars doesn't go far when buy hectares in Melbourne.
  5. A great location and a great idea. A few issues to work through. The area West of the railway station and North of the course is now high rise apartments. There was parking there initially. The inside of the course is also parking. Several thousand vehicles park there for Caulfield Spring Carnival Meetings in October. There are two tunnels from the exterior to the interior of the course. Is underground parking on the cards? That is under the ovals. Of course parking for racegoers could be on the ovals though not ideal. I am actually quite hopeful about the prospect.
  6. I am excited by this SEN selected side. What makes it so good is the players that are not named.
  7. After all that I hope TMac snags a few this season.
  8. Stiiffy, corny but quite humorous.
  9. Cyclops replied to old dee's topic in Melbourne Demons
    Thats why they sing.
  10. A noisy one it seems.
  11. The Seekers might need it.
  12. Correct, my pet hate is using "amount" in place of "number". That is, an amount of money reached by having a number of coins. Another is using the collective noun "bunch" for everything.
  13. Weideman is tall and a target but not a marking one. Therein lies his problem.
  14. Perhaps Clarry would have won the Brownlow had it not been for broken thumb courtesy of Selwood. I think he missed a match and was quiet in the next he played
  15. Not only tense but people using "reigns" instead of "reins" and "labor" instead of "labour".
  16. Just reading about the anomaly whereas a member from one club can indicate to tickatek that their membership is with another club and DL members encouraging this practice. Perhaps if we meet Collingwood in a PF we can all nick the Collingwood allocation Imagine the uproar if rival clubs nicked all of the Richmond and Collingwood tickets! Methinks that Collingwood members would tear AFL House down . Although I am sure that Melbourne members would not do such a thing Ticketek should close that loophole before all hell breaks loose.
  17. In Bungaree there is a sign for "???? " Potatoe Farm. How can you farm potatoes and not be able to spell it. Redemption is nearby as there is a farm gate where potatoes are $5 for 5 kilos (kilograms).
  18. Sorry, you find the Dees offensive or you are worried about the Dees offence.
  19. Well said!
  20. That's very funny OD he might have said it from his hearse but his name was Hearst
  21. Can't believe the Dogs won the free kick count IN ADELAIDE
  22. May has had two injuries whilst playing for us and both can be attributed to Tom Hawkins. A smashed eye socket and a hamstring injury. They are suspending guys for a poke in the chest and Hawkins gets away with blue murder
  23. Agreed Rod. I think Jaidyn has taken quite a while to get his confidence back after a concussion 3 or 4 seasons back. I don't think a season forward helped him either. Some of his spoils on bigger players last night were excellent.
