The bounce handpass is good for a player to dispose of the ball however for the receiver it slows the ball up after bouncing. This adds pressure to the receiver to then take and dispose of the ball. Also, quite often, the ball is fumbled as the bounce is inconsistent.
  2. Luci, I agree with you. In fact I could not agree more. We cannot afford not to play Petty forward. Although he marks very few he is competitive and rarely outmarked. Conversely BBB is led to the ball and outmarked more often than not even at VFL level. This, of course, is a great rebound for any opposition. Up forward, Petty also has a spark of aggression and I reckon our small forwards walk taller because of that.
  3. Between the lines I am asking as to who will captain the Dees on Monday. "Tossing the coin" is just an old saying saying meaning who is captain today.
  4. Should Max not play and Viney is a late withdrawal, who tosses the coin?
  5. I agree, our fumbling, especially out of the centre, is a concern and a block to our gameplan. As you have also mentioned our kicking to target players last week was atrocious.

That would be news to Carlton and the AFL.
  7. Petty forward anf Tmac back..try something
  8. I am sure Tom McDonald could spell your name correctly.
  9. My highlight was in the first quarter when Oliver ran down Smith over about 60 metres from the centre to the HBF eventually worrying Smith out of the possession.
  10. Hand and foot injury?
  11. Has Casey a practice match against Footscray today? The 3 players mentioned may be playing this afternoon with Melksham as the sub tomorrow night?
  12. Found my email in SPAM
  13. Katrina, therein lies part of the problem. If administration was moved to Casey then we would need to look for replacement admin staff. The admin were hired as CBD workers and may live north or west and travel to Casey every day would be difficult. The difficulty would also be for some of the volunteers.
  14. I think Kate was saying the facilities were great for the AFL side. Pert said that the change rooms for AFLW would be built soon.
  15. Submission voted down but some intrigue over the percentages The incumbents of the board got up
  16. Right at the end Ms Roffey told of at least a half a dozen councils she had contacted in the last few months regarding available land ( hectares as she put it) without luck. The club has been looking for 30 years we were told. Next question is when is time to give up. When is time to tell members that an inner city base is unlikely .Twenty seven million dollars doesn't go far when buy hectares in Melbourne.

A great location and a great idea. A few issues to work through. The area West of the railway station and North of the course is now high rise apartments. There was parking there initially. The inside of the course is also parking. Several thousand vehicles park there for Caulfield Spring Carnival Meetings in October. There are two tunnels from the exterior to the interior of the course. Is underground parking on the cards? That is under the ovals. Of course parking for racegoers could be on the ovals though not ideal. I am actually quite hopeful about the prospect.
  18. I am excited by this SEN selected side. What makes it so good is the players that are not named.
  19. After all that I hope TMac snags a few this season.
  20. Stiiffy, corny but quite humorous.

    The Seekers might need it.
  24. Correct, my pet hate is using "amount" in place of "number". That is, an amount of money reached by having a number of coins. Another is using the collective noun "bunch" for everything.
