I agree. He was great tonight. Developing at a nice and steady rate. Full game against Eagles could do wonders for his confidence.

Umpiring (Demonland in meltdown)

I respectfully disagree. I reckon it was holding the ball too until I saw his knee dig into the turf. Lucky we didn't get 50 metres playing on thru Langdon and Pickett. -

Bad calls both ways, particularly in first half. It's not the reason we lost. IMO, I think with the JvR tackle, Blues player's left knee digs into the turf and drives the hips up and upper body forward and down with momentum and JvR's body weight, his body jerks and doesn't go down smoothly. Just unlucky. -

You are a jet, Windsor! Well-deserved Rising Star nomination. 🌟

6. Lever. 5. Gawn. 4. May. 3. Petty. 2. Langdon. 1. Windsor. Hard to fit them all in, but Fritsch, Oliver and McDonald honourable mentions.

I can't warm to him because he is often a sore loser, just like Hardwick. I do like his analysis on the game though, but needs to work on his humility. That's why I love Goody so much, respectful whether they win or lose.

Huge lift by Petty. Clunked several marks at pivotal moments in the game and good defensive acts. Laid a great foundation to build confidence off to start kicking more goals. Very happy for Petts.

Bob, that's fantastic, thanks for sharing!

Need a collective lift in the midfield and by Petty. Negating Stewart and Cameron will go a long way to beating them. Personally, Cats are one of my most disliked teams so all the sweeter beating them, so get it done Dees 😉😁 Gawn, drop another 5 on them please 🙏

Seem to be managing their players well like they did in their 2022 flag year.

Hi Bob, great post. if you find any more photos during this period please share. Based off a quick search, appears you were at the club when Frank Vearing was there, he was a dear, late family friend of ours.

One stage I heard him saying something along the lines of "been lots of dirty balls tonight" referencing Port's inside 50 entries. Yes, Port are a dirty team but BT... too far man.

You are already such a great Babcia, WCW ❤️💙

If I recall, Oliver, mostly because he was nervous, while waiting for Gawn to kick the goal after the siren to win the minor premiership was talking to Dangerfiekd about his recent ankle injury from memory.

AFL hasn't crossed this bridge yet, but I can see this as suspendable offence in the future. Really puts the game in disrepute and isn't part of the amicable contest. If we are suspending players for bumps that don't injure players but have the potential to injure a player then striking players in this circumstance should be treated the same way. Oliver has been targeted this way several times this season similar to this and IMO a fine isn't a sufficient deterrent to stop this thuggery.

GWS going to be hard to stop this year.

Had the pleasure to go to the game, a once in a blue moon for me. Gee, it was frustrating to watch the first half, real arm wrestle, I guess with Yze and McQualter swapping camps it was bound to be harder to take down each other and was riddled with many mistakes. We gave their 3 first half goals by bad turnovers in the middle of ground and returned to bombing it in long in our 50. 2nd half lowered the eyes a bit more and cleared the 50 and went down the middle a bit more. What a move having Disco forward! He had a good mixture of moving into right space, leading and beating his opponent and was smart with disposal, kicked crucial goals and setting up a Fritsch goal - I thought he was deserving of the Frank Checker Hughes medal. Good to see maligned Laurie get on the end of a few goals. So happy for Turner and Laurie! Defense was incredible, so many marks between Lever, May, Howes, Rivers, McDonald. Kozzy and Nibs chased and corralled all night, Windsor and Lingers ran hard all game. Love the bloke, but Petty looks way off, might need a spell to get some confidence and form for Casey. Gritty and grinding win. Keep banking the points and keep working away to build continuity and momentum. Go Dees!

We have a 1-player-only-peroxide-blonde-hair-policy, so he doesn't make the cut.

Where can you watch these finals? Thanks in advance.

Stranger things have happened. After all, Ryan Griffen left as Dogs captain to join GWS.

Silver lining to Kozzy's suspension, very excited for this young man's debut! Good luck, Kolt. Dees should play Living Colour's - Kolt (Cult) of Personality running onto the MCG for him! 😉
