Farewell Alex Neal-Bullen
Some unnecessary criticism of Nibs here. Without knowing the whole situation and circumstances, how can anyone's opinion stand on legs? The MFC and ANB have addressed it because it got out to the media. We would have known anyway, just in several weeks' time. He played at least 4 games already with this been known to club, do you think we are really going to leave him out of the team because of circumstances out of the club's hands and still in finals contention? I think not. At least ANB advised Goody weeks earlier instead of waiting for after the season. If anything, it may assist us and allow more time for negotiations and enquiries to be made. In the same token, I understand it could hinder as we only have 2 clubs to deal with. If you think holding ANB to his contract is a good idea, have you considered he could walk to the pre-season draft or just not play altogether? I think this could be a real scenario as the club has already given its blessing. This would be a far worse scenario for our club and could damage reputations and burn bridges to deal with the clubs in the future and have far-reaching consequences years ahead. Family comes first. ANB does not have to appease its fans, MFC is also his employer. Anyone who has or had children knows this and priorities are not just for yourself - it's your family collectively. Sometimes life is unfair and you just got to do the best you can in the given circumstances. Stewing over the inevitable is going to get you bitter and twisted instead of celebrating a premiership player who had given his all to the club and playing possibly his last 2 games for the club.

NON-MFC: Round 23
I bet she wasn't wearing a helmet either and riding on a footpath. Typical your suburb Essendon supporter - what a disgrace 🙃

NON-MFC: Round 23
Bombers got form. Remember Bellchambers in last game vs Dees in 2020 and that awkward walk off the ground? https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.foxsports.com.au/afl/afl-2020-essendon-unrest-problems-tom-bellchambers-retirement-not-selected-for-last-game-adam-saad-contract/news-story/d9739db2c27104b4bce301950f66c28a

Jack Viney Extends Contract Until 2028
Viney is a loyal warrior. Been through the dark days to a premiership. Can't see it ever happening. If Viney was forced to 'retire' and he wanted to keep going is the only scenario I could possibly see him playing for another club, but even then I'm not sure he would based on principle, that's the impression I get from JV7 - loyal.

Season 2024 Over for Clayton Oliver
What operation are you having, Mr Fowler?

Draft or Recruit
Hit the draft ideally. Got to look at the bigger picture sometimes.

Farewell Alex Neal-Bullen
So selfish. Unfortunately people get off from telling people's business to others. Nibs and his family deserved better.

Farewell Alex Neal-Bullen
Genuinely gutted.

You said this back in 2018 😁

POSTGAME: Rd 22 vs Port Adelaide
Possible, but unlikely. Saints got Tigers, Cats and Blues to play and 2 games behind us. Probably beat Tigers, not sure about others. We might still beat Suns and Pies with our remaining games and would have to lose both and Saints to win 2 out 3 with a few percent to gain too to pass us.

The 2024 Positives Thread
Getting games into youngsters. We will have a good pick. The fixture will become a little easier in '25 - in theory.

Dan Houston
Did anyone have a Melbourne jumper with Houston's name on it hanging down as he came onto the field tonight?
