That’s the issue bottom clubs will pay overs to attract players... the system is actually working against bottom teams even more so!

Congrats to cats landing Cameron a ready made ff... When u include Lynch going to the tigers after the won a flag.. not to mention Daniher going to to the lions a prelim team...is this what free agency was designed for to allow successful clubs to raid the best talent ... grant it the lions have climbed up the ladder.. something isn’t right ...

If ends up at Richmond will be the biggest kick in the guts for mfc supporters also a mockery of the equalisation if the afl that a triple premiership team can get 2 gun forwards after a wining a flag .. will consider walking away from the afl

Aren’t the rules that another club can pay eg 600k & they would need to pay the difference & question would we take & give them brayshaw?

Since 1964 ... hawks 12, tigers 8, cats 3 flags... Member for 23 yrs & supporter since 1972, not sure why I many others continue to support this club as nothing but failure 6 decades going strong!

Hawks, Tigers, Cats great examples of strong management and planning........MFC is a 50 year example of mismanagement and ineptitude

We are miles away from winning a flag...we have holes in our list witch we can never fix eg no gun forwards & our last one was Neitz who retired in 08! Can’t inc Hogan as hardly played & Tom Mac had one flukey year, we also have culture & leadership issues which raised their ugly heads throughout the season and continue to do so.

Watching yet another club dynasty 3 flags 4 years ... 56 strong & still waiting, yet another club gone past 12 flags

It’s called luck at times also .. the 2 flags they won both sides crumbled but history will show them as premiers... cats will be a tougher proposition... the hawthorn & cats premiership sides were are better but that’s how it is & as mfc supporters we would take a flag regardless!

Will be the start of my 6th decade of no flags & watching other supporters celebrate.. hve only experienced gf twice which ended poorly by 1/2 time.......

Called getting great people with clear strategies & sticking with them... not just trying to survive & doing debt demolitions, having a home base, no band aid approaches which the mfc have done over the last 50+ years, Nth Melb is another example of not what to do & we went through it in late 2000s & up to 2013

The comp is is comprised with all sorts of things the draw, FA is favouring the bigger successful no doubt but look at the lions no one wanted to go a few years ago even the mfc prior to Roos era.. you need to find good people off the field & tigers are an example what can happen...
