Cam Zuhaar
My bad, was looking at the Games column not goals. but he is not playing every game, so based on that he will end up with 24 goals by the end of the year. at best he is a 30 goal a game player. who are we moving out of our fwd line for him? IF, big IF, the dees believe they can get him super fit and turn him into a mid fwd, it would be great to have his type chopping Trac out in the middle. but i would not be happy paying $450k + for him, which is what he is going to want

CHANGES: Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
Agree, but I recon his run down tackle along will be enough for goody to keep him in. He is a very sloppy connector and often goes for an impossible kick. Unfortunately with Dogs backline I think he stays in, we don't need to go taller against them.

Cam Zuhaar
God no, he is very average, has one good game a year and is noticeably a lazy footballer. Amazing when he plays these games he is 24 in his 6th year never kicked more than 20 goals or ever aged more than 12 disposals. He would be another Mitch Hannan. He is Petracca's size(3cm taller). He should be tearing games apart week on week in the midfield!

TEAMS: Rd 18 vs Port Adelaide
Melksham, ffs. Hasn't played for 3-4 weeks and was a training cone last time he played. This is a bad call, he clearly has pictures of Goody

Head high tackles
Whilst it frustrates me, it's not the players role to make it easy to be tackled. But, it's the one where they lift their shoulder that gets me. The high contact is made by the player with the ball, not the tackler. Ducking is different again. which is now 3 different types of the same thing, id hate to be an umpire. The AFL don't make it easy for them

What They Are Saying at Alberton Oval
i Was at the game, it was horrible. Our defense was set up to perfection and because they didn't have the dump kick option to Dixon the kept swinging it across their HB line, switch after switch. The game was so horrible to watch but listening to the crowd turn on their team was good value, and the cheer when they finally kicked a goal.👌

Trade and Free Agency rumours
who do we think we will lose at years end, besides the big two in the media atm? i think likely to look elsewhere is: Bedford, Hunt, Smith maybe a Chandler(he is the one we need to try keep from this group) and then moved on is: Baker, Melksham, M. Brown, Daw who none would get a contract elsewhere and Daw retired. The other one that could look to move is Tomlinson, but his contract might halt that. not sure Hunt and Smith hold trade value, but Chandler and Bedford would have a bit

Buddy
Would love him, but we can't afford to pay him over our young guys coming through. would only be if we can get him for that $500k mark

Farewell Brodie Grundy
Grundy is the Best Ruck in the league after Max. but it is way to much to pay for a 28yo second ruck. Geelong and Essendon should be throwing the kitchen sink at him if they have any brains.

CHANGES: Rd 18 vs Port Adelaide
Out: Bedford, Oliver (inj) In: Chandler, Dunstan or JVR if we go tall We do need anther tall, but i think against port we don't. As long as we can control Aliir's influence. If they do go down the extra tall path i think it might be time to try JVR, if not its Weid.

POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Geelong
Not a great game from us, Geel looked like they were really grabbing and bumping and annoying our mids at stoppages and we didn't handle it. We also took the tackler on way to often, and maybe that was because we were to short up fwd and didn't have clear targets. Gawn and Jackson will be better for the run, Gawn didn't take any intercept marks which is not usual for him and he just looked like he lacked the extra energy to get to that kick behind the play. it will come back!

CHANGES: Rd 17 vs Geelong
Out: Weid, M. Brown In: Gawn, LJ Be interesting if they go with the smaller fwd line, or stick to our usual set up which means Weid stays in

NOT Taylor Walker
No he didn't, and even the players and goodwin say it was viney's stoppage work that set up harms that swung momentum. Even those goals at the end, Jackson lost both those taps and viney got both the clearances. Not too many 20yo key fwds have done much at thise stage of their career.

NOT Taylor Walker
And Viney, who had a hand in all those goals from centre clearances

NOT Taylor Walker
They have already said Darcy is going to play forward. Even if he is a stop gap, ya recon Ugle-Hagen is gonna play in the two's for another 3 years. It's just an opportunity to get a good young fwd. Like I said in the original post, picks will be different but futures and stuff will come into it. Too hard to do that
-
NOT Taylor Walker
Hagen is a no 1 draft pick who hadn't played footy for 2 years before he was drafted. He will be fine. I want Jacko to stay to, which is why this is a hypothetical. It was a good patch, but i still think Vineys hand in that quarter was just as good.
-
NOT Taylor Walker
Like I said different picks, I'm not going into futures and stuff. I don't know enough about it all. But they can't play Naughton, Bruce, Darcy, Ugle-Hagen and Lobb who they are reportedly very keen on.
-
NOT Taylor Walker
Like I said would be different picks. But they will have to give up something for lobb, and I can't really see how ugle-hagen fits in with Darcy coming through and their reported interest in Lobb

NOT Taylor Walker
Hagen and a first rounder. Don't get me wrong he was great for a 12min patch in the GF and is going to be a gun. Essentially, we get 2 first rounders for him which is what I'd expect
