Trade and Free Agency rumours
Might cost bugger all in picks, but he will still want to get paid some coin. He woukd be on a bit contract at the crows for next yr and no club is gonna pay that. So he woukd be on 700+ next yr then looking at half that. Fine if we can get him cheap as chips, but we can't have alot of money to spend now.

PODCAST: Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
Could you discuss how that was an amazing game from the Dogs. Yes in terms of our season its a bad loss, but no way can the dogs play that week in week out. 8/10 they lose that game by 25+ points. this is the blueprint to beating our defense, Freo did it and the Hawks did it against us too. it shows how hard and how good you have to be. We also played a very good game, and a couple of kicks (or holding the balls) fall our way and we are clear top with Geel, our fwd line is a worry but it was last yr. T-mac is back running today so i assume putting his hand up for selection at captains run.(amazing how 2 years ago this guy wasn't wanted at the club) and yes this loss puts us in a bad spot, but if we win 1 more by the end of the year we probably finish top 4 and if we win 2 we will finish top 4. I'm forever optimistic but we also have to come to the realization that winning back2back is very hard, but we have the guys that can do it!

CHANGES: Rd 20 vs Fremantle
Club just posted that T-Mac is running today, good enough for me. Put him in

Petty must play forward ( if fit )
IF, we were to try something like this i think it would be Tomlinson, not petty. Petty is rock solid down back. if Tomlinson were to play fwd he is also that coverage if we have an injury to Lever/May/Petty. but to be honest i don't see either as an option, and i think selection should be based on opposition def if we need to play 2 key fwds and Jackson. v Freo i think we need the 2 talls

OUR USE OF THE SUB RULE
Yeh he can run to the ball or with an opponent. ball in hand he is horrible. and that shows with him losing his spot as a Fwd, then as Wing, then as HBF. and only regaining his spot last year as a lock down def. Id love for him to be peeling of the HBF breaking lines and hitting Brown on the lead, but he has been tried there and he doesn't have the tools
-
OUR USE OF THE SUB RULE
In this side as a sub i think he could be with fresh legs, I admit i always thought he was better than he actually was. he showed so much potential. but his style of player is perfect for a sub
-
OUR USE OF THE SUB RULE
Hunt, can run. that is it. he can't play midfield or wing, he can't kick, he can only play leading fwd or lockdown.
-
OUR USE OF THE SUB RULE
If the sub is going to be used as a "match winner" as teams are exploiting it atm, Hunt isn't the guy. has to be someone explosive and dynamic. Chandler is that player and Laurie can be too. last year we were very lucky that it was Jordon or Sparrow. maybe we should have kept VandenBerg on the list for another year, he would be great for that role.
-
Aaron Cadman
yup, just of those highlight i thought that same thing, looks a lot like Cameron. always looks to have 5m on his opponent. If the Jackson trade ends up being a pick and a player surely he is our main target with that pick! but, i also was dirty when we picked Oliver over Parrish, so i'll leave it to our recruiters who have hit the nail more times than not of recent times.

VOTES : Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
We won centre clearances by 7, max doesn't ruck everywhere, every contest, unfortunately the around ground ones are taken by Jackson/Weid. this was our best centre clearance game in a long time. Max was very good
-
Farewell Luke Jackson
No big trades like this end up really hurting side they leave. at the end of the day we are going to get a good deal for a kid who "could" be a gun. he had a big part in getting us a flag, and this trade could be a big part in our next!

CHANGES: Rd 20 vs Fremantle
IN: Lever, BB, Chandler OUT: Tomlinson, Weid, Melksham another one id like but wont happen is Jaskson for JVR, but if they haven't put JVR in yet i can't see it happening now

POSTGAME : Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
I think that was one of out better games in a while. Dogs are the #1 stoppage side and we held up pretty good, even beating them at centre bounce stoppages. I honestly think that's as good as the dogs can play, the way they moved the ball and always took a risky kick, that isn't sustainable! It's a bad loss in terms of the season and our upcoming games, but if it was 3 weeks ago i would have said we are on the right path.
-
Farewell Sam Weideman
Weid had a "good" game, but isn't strong enough in marking contests. which sides beat him in and start a rebound attack off it. unfortunately i don't think he is ever going to become what we want. but 3 goals is a good effort and deserves another go next week.

TEAMS: Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
OK Weid grab it now!!!! Finals around the corner and a chance to get in the side and be there if we make it deep!
- Trade and Free Agency rumours
-
Farewell Toby Bedford
Do a deal to get that young Jones, future picks whatever it takes. really like that kid. other than that nothing at Ess worth getting. This is the type player we can afford to lose, love for him to stay but have Chandler, Laurie and Monz-Wakefield also. would be nice if he turned out to be a superstar and we finally got something from our academy.

Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
I 100% agree here, once its known Jackson is gone Gus will sign with a little extra in him pocket. and he is worth it. give him 150k more year just to make sure he doesn't put on a Red and Black Guernsey, i couldn't handle that!
