  1. I think it's so he definitely gets to his club of choice, but yeh Carlton won't be using that pick
  2. F3rd sounds about right. Again shows roughly what McAdam is worth. Sad to see Harmsey in other colours but all the best to him, has been one of my favourite over the years.
  3. Love Harmsey and wish him all the best, but: 1 - I hate Bevarage and the Dogs 2 - How does this make any sense for him. No more opportunities at the dogs is there?
  4. Still need the list spot though. Id say McAdam is the coverage for Melk. Train on players are no good, they aren't good enough to be on lists, and if you can't make West Coast's list as a 23yo then I'd pass on that. Have a look at the other top 4 next in midfielders. Brisbane - Lyons, Matheson Coll - Lipinski, Knoble Port - Narkle, Boak These guys aren't Best 22 players but if needed are up to the standard to fill the rotation. Port are in a simmilar position to us and need more depth with Boak almost done and possibly Duursma out the door. Do we have any long term injuries atm? If we do then we could look at one of those SSP positions.
  5. Thats what I meant, soz
  6. Not too often top 4 sides select more than 3-4 players in the draft either. Think we are going hard for pick 10 too, which will soak up a couple of those picks
  7. I hope they do, but based on this year we can't rely on them. Think we need a proven AFL standard midfielder as back up. Not a star, not a B22 player, someone that is good enough at AFL level if called up
  8. Thats my whole point, we aren't looking at someone to come into the AFL side
  9. Yes but there was no one else that can play the midfielder role. So we don't replace them and we are going even further down in the talent pool. I have high hopes for Laurie and Howes but they aren't at that level yet
  10. Yup, so we are hoping that Laurie and Woewodin are going to become a lot better. And Hoping that draft picks can walk into the best midfield in the comp at 18. It doesn't have to be McLean, but I think we need a player of that standard to cover the loss of JJ, Harmes and Dunstan. It's a big hole, I don't care if they never play am AFL game for the dees. Just the coverage that you can rely on.
  11. You blood the for sure, but if they aren't at the level for midfield at AFL level then they aren't ready. You need that cover just in case, we have had it with JJ, Harmes and Dunstan. Big Hole with them gone
  12. We lose, :Hibbard, Grundy, Harmes, JJ, Dunstan and Smith. We absolutely need to bring in some AFL standard players. We Currently have 6 spots to Fill. With Fullarton and McAdam coming in it's 4 Spots. If we top up from the draft too much we won't have any depth which we are seriously lacking in our midfield atm. We really need a solid midfield cover of this standard.
  13. Yeh, unfortunately he isn't at his peak. Id be very happy if we got 38 for him
  14. Jordon was compo though. Not an offer from a club. He is also 6 years younger than Harmes which changes the compo considerably. If Harmes were to leave under free agency we wouldn't get anything.
  15. I recon 38 will be about right for Harmes, Don't think we will get a second rounder for him unless we pay some of his contract.
  16. I love the idea of signing him for 1 year with a clause for a second. Pay him 500 a year which is less than Grundy. We dont need that $$ atm but when his contract is up will fall perfectly with re-signing Petty/JVR
  17. Harmes for Toby McLean? Very rare we see pure player swaps these days but id be happy with this.
  18. Paddy Dow expected to go for a future 4th rounder. 23yo 3rd round selection. Bit of an insite into the value of McAdam, God I hope we don't give up a second rounder.
  19. Very average list to choose from this year. I do like Toby McLean from the Dogs though, was sensational in their premiership year and has just had a tough time with Injuries since.
  20. Top 20 are very good this year, I think we will aim to get as many picks as we can inside that. Apparently we are keen on pick 10
  21. Yup agree, 23 is a very good outcome if we get it!
  22. His contract is at least 1mil over the next 2 years. Matheson will be considerably less. This is for a depth player, not someone we are expecting to make our team. Billings is a better player agree though
  23. Light for midfield depth too, and we are going to have at least 5-6 spots to fill, so outside the draft these type of players are important to get so we have some AFL standard in the reserves. Some people need to realise that clubs pick these guys up hoping they actually never play AFL. Like Dunstan.
  24. Totally agree, but one will be pretty much free, the other won't
  25. Fritsch is a med fwd is he not?
