He is a beast, and is a Midfield/Forward. Much like Petracca was in his early years, and he reminds me a lot of those type of players. Have watched a few of his games now, very different to his brother, who I also like. He will be the future of our midfield. It's also been said numerous times that GWS don't need to get him off the books. They can afford him, and won't be packaging a deal to ship him off. It is a lot owed to him but it's only for next year. After that he is off the books. (Out of contract) If a club has missed managed so bad that one player for one year has to get off the books they wouldn't be in the AFL.

Agree, Petty plays those finals and we would have been playing off in a GF. And we are every chance to get pick 11 as it is. Can't trade petty unless we get a good Key fwd in from somewhere. Petty will play fwd in 2024, then take over the May spot in 2025 after we land one of the Free agent key forwards available next yr. He is vital to our future, unless he is desperate to get home, we keep.

Yeh depth, he is a high half fwd type, so would have too push out ANB and Spargo. For the right price go for it, but not that super keen on it. The interest in him so far shows that clubs will look at him as an end of trade period thing once they know the list spots left.

Would it be silly to sign him for a year and then take him on as a fwd coach? I don't see him leaving Geel at all but would be more than happy to have a crack at him.
