  1. Smith isn't fantastic. He had 7 disposals and 2 turnovers, and he jumps at everything and leaves his man. He is very handy as sub but just lacks the concentration for full games.
  2. Out: Petty, Harmes, Smith, Hibberd In: Schache, Oliver, Thomlinson I think Schache could be a good option, but im not confident in any options really. Hibbo unlucky and Smith back to his sub role which is now more important to us with Petty out.
  3. 2019, go and have a look at his stats. Il accept your apology later!

Love this idea! Won't be $$ Carlton don't rate him, he would be very handy plug until hopefully a Jafferson develops
  5. If Petty in injured. Is it worth giving Schache a go? I think he could be an ok option, and I'd prefer him as the back up ruck than a 20 year old in JVR (Schache also expendable). Unfortunately Harmes is no longer an AFL level footballer, but Clarry coming back solves that.
  6. Our problem is non of our other options do really
  7. And Ben Brown does? I love BB but the game has passed him. Once T-Mac is running a lnd fit maybe. But Grundy can't play that role unfortunately
  8. I woukd actually prefer Schacke, more mobility and a good back up ruck option
  9. Bruise free football, everyone just thinking someone else will do it. Poor insipid effort
  10. No effort or pressure
  11. Again another that has replied without looking at the comment I was responding too!
  12. I think you need to look at what I replied to to get context rather than go on your rant before hand.
  13. 6 goals from 10 games isn't great. Which is my point. Hope he proves me wrong. I also don't think this is his future either, but it's what we need atm
  14. I wouldn't say we have found our FF but it's a start. The pros are that Petty has trained with the fwd line at times through pre season and during the year. He is a strong contest player and good grab. Balta is a very good and strong defender and Petty killed him. The cons are that we have seen it once for a full game, his other good performances up forward were in minimum time or against very average opposition. Nest option right now and I hope it works, but have to have a plan B too
  15. They are saying he will be around the 60s probably our last pick like Woey
  16. Rookie draft maybe

Gresham is a hack, we should avoid big time! If Grundy goes to Port they have a Collingwood (ironically) 2nd round pick which would be good or I would be interested in Georgiades if they take on Grundy's full contract!!

Whilst I see this, do you think Grundy would go for that pitch again?
  19. Hi gents. Love the POD great work. I have long been a Petty forward hater, and thought hid talents as a backman were too good. Think I might be wrong! What do you guys think about the balance if the side? I think this is it, with Jordon and Woey keeping thier spot unless someone bangs down the door. Unfortunately I think that's it for Harmes, he doesn't complement our midfield correctly and Clarry will take that spot anyway. Huge win, top 4 sealed can we get top 2?
  20. Yup, I think this is a good call. He has also kicked goals this year. With Clarry coming back maybe not. But gotta be better than Harmes
  21. Pathetic! Not getting close to a tackle. They are doing as they please

We now have a genuine chance at 2nd spot. Port have a touch game against Geel, and Lions have one against Coll. It's completely in our hands, which scares me. Every win is important now!

Reid is a no brainier for me, the scouts on this kid are amazing. he will be perfect to take over the #1 midfield role when Petracca and Viney move into their twilight. it sets up the midfield for another 10-15 years, in saying that i wouldn't be giving up too much. But we have 2 young key fwds developing, plenty of midfield youth, plenty of half back flankers and small fwds. Only real issue for the future is key def, but they are never early in drafts anyway. Duursma is a great back up if WC want to much, but id be going at Reid if i could, we don't desperately need next years first round pick. not to mention id say we will have picks coming in for Tomlinson, Harmes and Possibly JJ if a trade gets done. all be it these would all be 3rd rounders and later
  24. Good win and with May having an absolute stinker. Crows are a very good side so this was a good win, with Oliver, Fritta and Petty all sitting on the sidelines too. What are the panels thoughts on Ben Brown? Personally i think he provides structure and a lead up option up the ground, i know he didn't have the best game but he gives us a good link up option up the ground, not so much deep. there were a few times he provided a contest on the wings that our crumbers got to and we moved forward from there. And then we swung the change with the sub at the perfect time, which is the perfect role for brown. All in all a good win and very important one.
  25. that was very lazy letting walker do that
