  1. It may be but no club in the land is swapping pick 1 for 12 13 30.
  2. Would be disappointing to have to trade weid to get 44 to tag on to 27 to give to the Pies for Grundy when we gave away 43 and 53 to turn 33 into 27.
  3. Points schmoints If we are using 27 for Grundy (or onto GWS with Bedford for 19/21) then no doubt we have spoken to those clubs and they have said theyd rather pick 27 than our three picks (despite being worth more points) All the talk is that this draft has no depth so perhaps the extra late picks not as valuable as other years
  4. Defenders Lever (Ankle) Salem (Knee) Mids Petracca (leg), Brayshaw (knee), Gawn (foot), Jackson (knee) Fwds Brown (knee), Pickett (knee), Fritsch (back?) The above ones looked visually hampered. Two others - possibly Viney (very quiet finals for him)? Management of players perhaps questionable at times but the back half draw was brutal and top 4 was on the line given Cats/Pies/Swans werent dropping games. Get werridee to post a 22/3 without the above players and we werent making a prelim whichever way you spin it. Moving on i just hope this pre season isnt a 2018/19 cluster**** of surgeries
  5. Big Ben Binman Brown also said something similar when questioned about our loss to Sydney. I felt he intimated loading played a part. Go Dees.
  6. Very fair point. I saw First Crack saying our ball movement since r17 is 17th in the comp. Putting the silly sample size to one side: Our run has been Geelong at cattery, Port in their last crack at finals in Alice, Dogs in their Granny, Freo in Perth, Pies in their Granny and Blues in their Granny. Nearly always with comparatively worse travel schedules and short breaks. Id love us to smash Brisbane on the weekend and see the narrative change once again.
  7. Anyone feel like we didnt play that well (as per the past 11 pages), got smashed in the [censored] count, the 9th best team played out of their skins, and that 9 times out of 10 we win that game (and nearly still did today). And we are 3rd. It's not all that bad, is it? I agree we have to lift a fair bit if we are going to win it (I watched Geelong's last quarter today and their pressure is far superior to ours) but I'm not willing to put a line through 2022 just yet.
  8. Agreed. Only injury forced changes to the side despite being a lowly 2nd on the ladder. Goodwin out.
  9. Loved everything about the win apart from Fritta burning a team mate AGAIN, and Lever doing his AC. I am worried about Fritta as this is the fourth week in a row he has done it and id be amazed if it hadnt already been addressed.
  10. Just catching up on the thread. So is Dunstan being delisted or going straight into the seniors?
  11. I mean yeh its looked like tmac and weid have both been trying to get dropped.
  12. So many good performers. I loved Vineys game, thought he was a crucial cog at stoppages as GWS were giving it a red hot crack, particularly in the first half. Jack simply wouldnt let them get on top after the first. Sadly the Weid hasn't turned up the past two weeks after a promising performance vs the bombers. As for the crowd, 7 news headline this morning said 20% of Australians are interstate/overseas this weekend. I am in Melbourne from the UK, went to the bombers game, couldnt bring myself to go last night for what looked on paper a routine win. Taking two four year olds with a big family day today, keeping them up till 11pm last night is not really an option - im surely im not the only one in the same boat who chose to watch on tv instead. Call me fair weather after years of 3am alarms to see us get belted (and plenty of $$ put into the club) all you like Anyway go dees 5-0
  13. Putting the Wednesday night to one side i love that we've asked for the dogs round 1. The dogs will be coming for us. Good that the players know this and should help them focus hard in pre season.
  14. For followers of rugby, in 2016 Eddie Jones produced a presentation to England players on how we will beat the All Blacks and win the 2019 world cup and trained that game plan for 3 years. Come world cup time they smashed the All Blacks (but lost the final to the Springboks). Goody mentions he shares a mentor with Eddie Jones on this interview.
  15. Just wanted to say I love this club. I love all (most) of you and wanted to thank all the posters and content creators that make following this club from the UK possible. WE FINALLY DID IT! WELL DONE DEMONS!!
  16. Right i have my codes 2x gfg prority 1s 2x priority 2s Had a couple of messages, dm me if anyone else interested. Will draw at random unless a compelling case for giving to someone
  17. Should we have received our barcodes if we had a GFG by now? I have nothing. I live in London so am happy to hand my 2 tickets over to longstanding demonlanders that can make it.
  18. Good luck one and all. Go get 'em boys.
  19. I live near London and have an interstate plus GF guarantee as well as Overseas membership (so i can access the Watch AFL app and watch all the games)
  20. Erm we just did and won by 98 (NINETY EIGHT) points.
  21. It's (unfortunately) well known that Burgo is heading to Adelaide.
  22. We are favourites for the flag. No denying that ($4.50 favourites) What does this mean? 1. We are the team most likely to win the flag 2. It is 3 and a half times more likely we DONT win the flag than DO Keep building demons. P.s. i like what goody said in his presser. Embrace the favouritism. Deal with the pressure. We'll have to deal with it come September if we want to win the thing anyway.
  23. I actually really enjoyed the game. Yes we did not play that well, but I loved Clarry trying to will us over the line. 16pts up with 5 mins to go we shouldn't be losing from there despite 2 putrid umpire calls. Its all well and good saying "we shouldnt lose to a bottom 4 side", but they played very well, pressure rating >200. If they played like that every week they wouldn't be a bottom 4 side. They lifted and had a red hot crack. Credit to Adelaide. Salem was a massive out The biggest issue for me was our forward pressure. Kozzie, ANB, and Spargo have been asked to do A LOT of work this year - i'm amazed they havent been rotated at some point - their work rate sets up out whole game plan, and part of the reason our defence looked off IMO. We slipped and fumbled all night. Fristch burning trac and then scuffing the snap was criminal. Every moment matters. We win the game if he gives the handball. Back to work and onto two tough games.
  24. Kiran and Nita have loved the pod this year with so many great guests. Thanks for your work. Cheers.
  25. Our setup without/behind the ball is the best in the competition.
