  1. Yep - which is ny point. Goody has delivered a flag whereas several Carlton coaches including Voss haven't. See Fagan also but atleast he's got close. They're hard to win!
  2. I agree @Ollie fan - there's a bunch of good lists. How about Carlton? Theyve had as many if not more picks from top end of the draft and not even gone close, yet. Which is why contending 3 (possibly 4?) years on the trot is so difficult and we deserve credit (see Collingwood who go criticism free for their flag defence). Oh well.
  3. Ive struggled with our 2021 flag being devalued (even on here by Demons) and we've been painted as having offered a meek defence of it in 2022/2023. Despite starting 2022 like a train, Top 4 both years, and not quite getting over the line in September. Meanwhile Geelong start 2023 0-3 and miss finals and Collingwood 2024 0-3 and will miss finals. Yet they are painted as great Flag winnners and their respective coaches lauded.
  4. Oh if we beat Freo and GWS the lid is definitely off. That form line combined with the coulda/shoulda win at the GABBA (and the Lions own form line stacks up) would put us in the mix vs everyone. Particulalry with a fully fit Gawn then returning. But this is all the biggest IF ever. Just enjoying each game.
  5. Love that Koz finally landed a speccie in a game where he (correctly) decided to stay down a handful of times....picked his moment to fly
  6. Kade Chandler copped 2 weeks vs the Weagles for similar
  7. Since round 10 2022 we are something like 29 W 23 L. Maybe we've just been mediocre for a long time and now have Steven May with broken ribs, Viney with a shoulder, Clayton with issues, Brayshaw retired and Lever injured.
  8. Why haven't we managed to attract one good foot soldier from another club? List management have had a lot of praise, but have we managed to add anyone of use since Langdon? Bbb for flag year? We've lost plenty....
  9. Disgraceful. Frustrated being in the 2s no doubt.
  10. Joke corrupt system. Cornes sets the agenda with "no case to answer" immediately and thats how it plays out.
  11. Sorry @Garbo - for clarity I was using this as a rebuttal to the claims of "sniper", "dog", "dirtiest player in the game" accusations rather than disputing the MRO charge.
  12. 100%. Soligo was a sitting duck and Koz could have levelled him and caused serious damage. But he didnt.
  13. What an outstanding professional Jake Melksham is.
  14. Sounds a lot like "my mate Shannon worked at the Dees so i liked them - now he doesn't they're done". Slow news day.
  15. The AFL will change the Father/Son points system so Kalani, Noah and Marley cost us 3 first rounders. Meanwhile pick 40 and 42 Nick Daicos will be collecting the Brownlow.
  16. Luke Jackson for Jefferson and Windsor? Hope he's good!
  17. Weird how "theres a clear top 8 and then a big gap" and "i cant see any changes to the top end of this draft" has been the narrative for a month and now every club is into Leake having got whisper we like him. I'd guess this chap was our target/reason for trading for pick 11 and now possibly have to use 6 on him? Who knows. But funny how every club is obsessed at who JT likes.
  18. We gave them pick 10 and future pick 10 for Lever. Turned it into Petty. Will take pick 10 and Pick 14 and received Lever for free. And if they don't want to pay we just keep Petty until RFA. We hold all the cards here.
  19. Maysie speaking his heart and mind. 😍 Judd McVee top 10 BnF - what a 🌟 Trent Rivers calling the backline the "mens department" 🫣
  20. Ross Lyon thought it was unacceptable and Chris Scott thought it was unacceptable. Very experienced footy men with no skin in the outcome. Whole thing stinks.
  21. Hugely frustrating but the only reason we lost that was missing gilt edge opportunities. Some of the misses were inexcusable. Langdon playing on, Picket with time and space 15m out etc etc. The "method" created more than enough to win the game, as shown by the expected score.
  22. Sorry - slow to reply and others have got there first. Other options available. Turn in left shoulder and avoid contact altogether. Land with arms straight and push off him. Land in cuddling motion. If it was entirely unavoidable why is this the first case we've seen all season? I assume noone has ever left the ground for a front of smother this year then? Or they have but theyve chosen all the other optuons available and not tried to level their opponent.
  23. Hard disagree. Plenty of other options available. Took the opportunity to level someone out because it was there under the protection that your kind of analysis provides. I do agree he will definitely get off. Channel 7 set the agenda immediately. You could tell at half time Dangerfield felt it was unacceptable but didn't want to upset the apple cart
  24. The club would surely ask Burgo off the record for his opinion....nothing to worry about there IMO
