Season 2024 Over for Clayton Oliver
If you don't understand it, try harder! It's not rocket science. The only consequences of this posting, whether intended or not, are to sow doubt in Clarry's mind and thus risk all the gains that have been made, to get all us supporters upset, and thus to bignotethe original poster. The post you commented on was really talking about, why post it, not whether there is any minuscule foundation.

Season 2024 Over for Clayton Oliver
Let's use our brains. To GET him a club would have to offer at least two low first-rounders and take over all his salary. Who is going to do that at this stage of his career? On the other hand, we have invested a great deal of effort into helping a player who has been one of the top 5 or so players EVER to play for Melbourne, and who is now totally committed to repaying the club for that. It won't happen. And if WCW is right and players read this garbage, that would be a terrible thing for his mental health and recovery.

She "popped up" at the football - which, regrettably, is finished for the year, for us.

Wildcard Weekend
Love it!!!! And we can call it AFL XX!

Roffey had one poor interview. Other than that, she has generally presented pretty well but she is not a media-hogger like Kennett or Maguire. Pert says what needs to be said: Surely you don't expect him to say publicly (even if it were true which I don't think it is) , " The club is a mess, we will be wooden-spooners next year etc etc etc" - he deflects questions and gets on with his job - which includes financial viability, record membership, and generally excellent on field results, but for this year (and the reasons for that have been discussed ad nauseam).

Are you Hawk the Demon renamed?

Rivers Reflects on 2024
Looking at the Twitter feed, Bont and Darcy are both looking to leave the dogs. In other words, this is just cr.p.

Pert and Roffey - The Review Thread
Agree. Honestly: we are the most successful club in the competition over the last 4-5 years (and yes, of course I know that this year has been a very poor one); we have record membership; we are financially viable; the players continually sign on for stable deals to remain at the club - i think the administration is doing something right. One thing I know for certain from decades of following AFL: when you have administration fights, a club's performance deteriorates immediately and disastrously.

The next time Damian Barrett says something good about the MFC will be the first time. He hates us. He is so pro-Geelong it's beyond funny.

Maynard, Pickett, Christian and justice and fairness.
Jeepers, Monbon - why don't you tell us what you REALLY feel? But I agree with every word you said. He is a total t..d and watching those "highlights" makes me remember why I hate Collingwood.

Max Gawn AA7
I just thought I might start a positive thread - let's celebrate big Maxxy's 7th AA!!! Well done, Max: You are a champion!

What a waste of space this thread is!

Garry Lyon for MFC President
As i recall it he was in favour of the tanking way back when.... Great player, great supporter, but.....

Like most of us, my thoughts have changed a lot over the saga. It now seems clear to me that Petracca's team are doing the leaking, which has successfully created a position where it is almost untenable for him to stay; the club has done exactly the right thing by continually pointing to his contract, thus reminding everyone that he won't come cheap.

Obviously you are licking your lips in anticipation of this happening and justifying all your other negative posts.

If only Luke Jackson hadn’t left…
Don't want him. Can't forgive him for all the rubbish about "I don't know if I'll leave" when he knew perfectly well - and played like it IMHO.

Your Preferred Premier 2024
It's truly a process of elimination, isn't it? In which case, out the door go Geelong, Carlton, Brisbane and Hawthorn in a hurry. GWS are inoffensive except for Toby Greene (I have a long memory; enough said). That leaves 3 contenders; I admire John Longmire.

NON-MFC: Round 24
Surely Carlton losing was karma after that disgraceful act by their "supporter".

What about jail? Is a serious assault!

You know, if he happened to be a reader of Demonland, and this thread, he might feel that he owes all these "supporters"(cough) nothing. Just sayin'.

Welcome to Demonland: Bayley Fritsch
Disagree about his field kicking. It can be magnificent. His tackling is terrible and his chasing is lacklustre but his field kicking can be up there with Melksham.

NON-MFC: Round 24
My whole interest in footy for the rest of this season is in hoping they go out in straight sets. Huge home ground advantage, if the rumours are half true they subvert the salary cap, and summer the most dislikeable people in the league.

GAMEDAY: Rd 24 vs Collingwood
Well, unlike I suspect many of the people on this thread, I have been at the game. All our best midfielders were out. Lever and May were not playing. Free kicks were 3 to one in their favour. We made some terrible errors, but I think our players did their best and I'm not going to criticise them.
