  1. I’m interested to hear what the optimistic dees supporters think about this selection? We are once again going back to the well on a formula that hasn’t worked since 2021
  2. I think all 3 go again and it’s another year of development or targeted trading to get the next wave ready. They are playing good footy for sure, but they aren’t winning matches on their own.
  3. That’s a lot of money freed up to buy more of the same. They have been supposedly falling off a cliff every year, for how many years now? Collingwood have a club that’s united and powerful, they won’t bottom out any time soon
  4. Fairly confident that Jagga will deliver well beyond Walsh’s output, from the last few years, as soon as he hits the park.
  5. I’d argue Jeremy Cameron can create goals on his own, through running power or marking, so he would. Daniher, not so much. As with others, this would be further evidence that the club is a little skewed in where the list is at. We are not stealing a premiership with Joe, we are too far off the best teams
  6. Hawthorn expect to be good, Melbourne just hopes to not be [censored]
  7. Needs more CAPS!

Peak Clarry is on par with anyone else I’ve seen play. His ball winning ability even now is absolutely elite
  9. I’ve said in another thread, Fritsch has genuine value. Not so sure Lever, May, Spargo, Viney and all others thrown up do. If the club was looking to get some currency in, he’s the man to help acquire it. Having said that, if the new gameplan starts to click more consistently, aside from supporters, he will stand to gain the most.
  10. For someone so left-side dominant, he still has plenty of time with ball in hand. He’s arguably in our best 5 players already and will remain that way for many years to come
  11. It’s almost like the club is bigger than the individual, particularly with the top teams. Insane that we have 3 of the highest paid in the comp (assume Max would be very close too) with such horrible return - although Tim Kelly has been dropped this round. That’s an expensive WAFL outing
  12. I agree with your list but who’s actually going to want them? No player is more frustrating than Fritta but in my opinion, he’s the only one that may move the needle for another club. The intercepting defender role that Lever has excelled at has expanded to a role Jake can no longer perform. He’s an awful decision maker with ball in hand and a very slow kick.
  13. Or @Ghostwriter today
  14. I tend to think his (Trac) hesitance to contest aerially is a major road block for him playing as a forward. In the middle it’s rarely expected and he’s still very flakey. Of course, this is completely understandable given the injuries he sustained and how, but it’s still relevant
  15. You would think the romance of Calsher Dear (and age) would have him ahead of Lewis. Chol and Gunston is working at the moment. Lewis should be gettable
  16. Oliver is the easy target but Trac is every bit as bad at the moment. I’d be more inclined to move Trac on, I think after last year’s antics he’s shown he’s never going to be a team focused player and you can get away with it when you are winning awards, not so much when you are meh
  17. This game showed Goody knows what he is doing, he’s just got the wrong cattle. We had a plan and it was quite effective for the first half. After that, our errors just compounded and we threw away another one with horrible skills. It feels like changing coach will be the path of least resistance for the club but gee, I would love to run a broom through the playing list and start a full blown rebuild now. We’ve got a lot of players that barely contribute, each and every week
  18. Apparently part of the review process
  19. This is not limited to Clarry either. For a bunch of guys that are here because they are better than 99% of footballers in the country, you’ll likely never see a more second guessing bunch. They are all mentally drained from the ‘system’ they have had to adhere to so strictly for the past few years
  20. An era of disco would be fun, bring a bit of sparkle back into the old mahogany
  21. If Trac is going to to have any chance of success in the forward half, he has some mental demons regarding contested marking, which he needs to banish. Dangerfield is so good because he is fearless in the air and an elite mark for his size.
  22. Kevin Sheahan’s pre draft spiel on Kolt; "A talented player with an elite work rate who often plays as a high half forward and sometimes goes through the midfield. "He is a fearless competitor with excellent game sense and a penetrating kick. "He played the final three games for Western Australia at the National Championships after missing the first with injury but didn’t miss a beat to average 18.7 disposals. "Has a sharp competitive edge which has seen him already play 10 senior matches for Subiaco in the WAFL. "Tested impressively at the national Draft Combine to record the second quickest time on the agility test (8.19) and a top ten finish in the 2km time trial (6:17)." All those things sound exactly like what we are looking for, so with a full preseason or two, he should be showing a lot more.
  23. Speaking of Brayshaw, although not Gus, someone like Andrew would be a great addition for our on and off field mix. He’s exactly what I’m after so that Max can play out his remaining years without the weight of carrying the club off field as well
  24. I’d be looking at a trade for a strong leader. A Callan Ward type who fronts up and plays their role every single week. Lever will have his hands full trying to get a game. Trac doesn’t want to be here and the team first stuff doesn’t come naturally to him. Rivers needs to get settled in a role and become consistent, long before he can dream of being captain I tend to agree with a few posts made today, as good as Max has been, he has also papered over a lot of cracks that are now being exposed. It’s not a united club, pulling in the same direction.
  25. Absolutely. We got lucky that everyone played above themselves in that magical run at the back of ‘21. The players asking for less contact hours should have been warning enough, the best are always working on themselves, 24/7 - which includes sleep/recovery, I’m not saying they need to be at the club that permanently
