Oliver Trade Rumours
Quote on the Desk calendar today āThere is no security on this earth ; there is only Opportunity. Douglas Macarthur. Seems to sit well with what Chris Fagan told his players mid season, ā If youāre skating in thin ice you may as well danceā Be bold, Be brave. Oliver + for DeKonning and Brad Close Petracca + for Jai Newcombe and Weddle ( sure CP mightnāt want to go to the Hawks, but itās an example of a trade that would IMO enhance our fortunes for next year) IN : 4 clear best 22 players OUT : 2 MFC all time champions who may or may not ever get back to their best. OUT: Potentially, all disharmony within the playing group.

Jake Stringer
Iām confused. Youāre critical of some people for criticising Fritsch but then you say Fritsch ācan go to the next level if he can put in a concerted effort to improveā. Concerted effort in what areas? Perhaps more effort in chasing? Maybe being stronger in a 1 on 1 contest? Being better at sticking a tackle? These are the things why some of us are critical of Fritsch. No-one doubts his class with the ball.

Christian Petracca
Would it be possible to enlighten me in what or who TWSNBN is. Also what role did Joe Daniher have and when was he there? Thanks in advance.

Lachie Hunter Retires
LH, congratulations. On a side note however, āLachie Hunter calls his time at the take red blue take a look a look back at his time at the club.ā MFC app. Who is responsible for this rubbish? Quality matters, even in the Office. MFC, please employ people with at least Grade 4 ability.

Training Ground?
Ok, but whilst I admit Iām no expert in Property law or real estate I canāt see much market potential for re-sale of this facility should MFC leave ( highly unlikely ). Who would it appeal to? Also re: Funding, what would be the attraction for Investors, as distinct from Lenders?
-
Training Ground?
Is it on Crown land? What other large sporting bodies would be interested in taking it over from the MFC?
-
Training Ground?
Seeking clarification please. 1. Assuming the facility has no re-sale value, what would be the attraction to potential investors? 2. Would the MFC be required to pay rent to the MRC? 3. Considering the facility would have an extremely long life span with guaranteed use by the MFC couldnāt the club seek a loan from the AFL? 4. Should the club obtain finance how are they then able to afford to make the repayments otherthan from goodwill donations from charitable supporters or being able to increase their revenue?

Opening Round Set to Return in 2025
Like most Corporate highflyers they love to create noise, no matter how bad the idea.

Pick 25 for McAdam
Not just, he added that facet to his game which makes him even more valuable. Bedfordās best assets are his overall speed and his ability to breakaway from a contest.
-
Pick 25 for McAdam
Bedford GWS this season What I have seen, not only has he been an influential player for them but someone who would have easily kept his spot in the 22 each week with us. I agree with you on Chandler. Think he lacks a bit of pace and spark, does try hard though.
-
Pick 25 for McAdam
Bedford. If they had been able to identify his true talent and develop it by giving him more opportunity, hence showing faith in him with the resultant boost in confidence, We would have offered him a better contact and perhaps he might of stayed. In short, I donāt think they knew what they had.

Welcome to Demonland: Bayley Fritsch
Iām curious as to how long Flag credits last?

Welcome to Demonland: Bayley Fritsch
On the presumption of given in good faith, I thank you.

Welcome to Demonland: Bayley Fritsch
I have no interest in anything you say. However by all means go ahead and continue to embarrass yourself to others with similar posts as above.

Welcome to Demonland: Bayley Fritsch
āCan be fixedā? How many years has Fritsch been at the club? Why hasnāt it been fixed by now?
-
Welcome to Demonland: Bayley Fritsch
Interesting that you called people ādillsā for criticising Fritsch but then go on to say ājust need to work harderā. Isnāt that exactly what those people you call ādillsā have been saying?

Hassa, what a star, my hero, No 29. Was there when he kicked 7 , Queenās Birthday 1967 MCG, was selected in the CENTRE lined up against Bobby Skilton. I donāt know if he actually played in the centre that day, may have been HFF, but they generally lined up as selected back in the day. If so, must be the only time a centreman has kicked 7 in a match.

Darren Bennett. āGreat Stuff at Windy Hillā
Pity, would have been something to behold, standing amongst Don supporters during that last qtr. Ricky Jackson was a star and very important to the success of that side. Rather under appreciated IMO. Seemed to often turn a game with his burst of magic. Then he just seemed to fade away and was gone and I never knew why. Maybe someone might know what happened to him. Enjoy tonight.

I agree the margin was generally around 4 goals and Essendon definitely looked to have our measure, thought the margin got to over six goals at one stage but it was a long time ago. I have the last qtr replay on VHS ( always wanted to digitise my library but tech is not my thing) Will dust off the Video player soon and give it a watch. Jacksonās goal was from the outer pocket I seem to remember, canāt recall if it was a banana or drop punt? Also not far from where I was. Nb. IMO A Ricky Jackson clone, fast, great crumber, goal sense, x factor would be a much needed addition to our 22. Yes, Pickett has all those attributes however as a duo our forward line would be extremely potent.

Ditto, standing in the outer, one of favourite MFC matches, came from about 40 points down if I recall, Essendon had our measure until late 3rd qtr when Rhode went on to Michael Long who was destroying us. Rhode then completely shut down Long, last qtr momentum was like a tidal wave, Bennent and Ricky Jacksonš„. A magnificent day Iāll never forget. If only we could have kept Bennett and Jakovich together for longer???
