  1. Hunted and harried the Dogs defenders all night. Never gave them a second's peace. He didn't have much joy with ball in hand but his defensive work was A-Grade. He's going to be better than Cyril Rioli
  2. Fitness and conditioning is such an important factor in team success. I have no doubt that the health of our list and supreme fitness levels were near the top of the list of reasons why we won the flag this year Contrast this year with the debacle that was 2019 and it’s easy to see why we shelled out top dollar to secure Burgo. He was worth every cent. I wish him the best in his future endeavors and thank him for the phenomenal job he did with us
  3. https://player.whooshkaa.com/episode?id=908761 about half way through
  4. Not sure whether anyone else picked up on it but Gary Lyon made a very interesting comment in response to a question from a caller this morning. Luke Jackson's parents told Gary that Luke is very happy in Melbourne and has no intention of going back to Perth. In fact his parents said they would like to move to Melbourne! If true (and I’ve no reason to think Gary would fib about something like that) I think its fantastic news. I’m so hoping his parents make the move.
  5. What a way to bury the curse. Shock and awe is the only way to describe the most devastating burst of goals ever seen in a grand final. This team have been magnificent. So dominant through finals. Could not be more proud It’s been an unreal season. For me, the lockdowns were manageable because the team were doing so well and provided an outlet from the tedium and monotony. Not sure how I’ll go now that season 2021 is done but the replays and afterglow should get me through to the end of lockdown. Looking forward to Rd 1 2022. It’ll be some day at the G as Flag No 13 is unfurled
  6. No idea. First i heard of it was reading through their thread
  7. Lachie Hunter is worse. Always trying to milk free kicks
  8. I think their comments are pretty balanced overall other than a few posters getting very riled up because we played the same post game song they did after the Port game. They reckon it was disrespectful or something. They need to chill
  9. Dogga's tapwork in the third. Got us going forward. Sensational
  10. Get a hearse for the curse. Demons 2021 premiers. I love you all
  11. Lachie Hunter is a stager. Milked at least 2 frees tonight.
  12. i'm almost to half time and 11 bottles into James Boag's premium lager
  13. one of my favorite words
  14. OD you old curmudgeon. How the hell are you feeling now?
  15. I’m a fellow Irishman GD. I too, go to games with Irish mates. The Irish connection is very strong with this football club and this amazing city I've called home for the last 15 years. Jimmy Stynes and Sean Wight are looking down and smiling on us tonight.
  16. BDA replied to Demonstone's topic in Melbourne Demons
    F**k MFCSS
  17. Half time couldn't come quick enough. Defensively at sea as soon as the ball hits the deck, beaten around the ball and the Bont showing his class. On ball brigade need to lift otherwise we're cactus. We're re-set before and can do so again. Huge third quarter coming up. We can do this
  18. nerves have kicked in well and truly. tucking into take away with a glass of shiraz (sister run, mclaren vale, i highly recommend) before jumping on a zoom with some other Dees supporters for the main event Come what may this team has done us proud all year. We'll still love them no matter what the outcome tonight Enjoy the game. See you all on the other side DLanders
  19. Agree 100%. It's the hope that kills you. I was so pumped heading into that season, talking up the Dees, engaging in conversations with Hawks, Cats and Pies fans as an equal for a change, all those prime time slots to look forward to. I had genuine expectations of top 4. What a soul destroying spirit crushing season. Like you say though we nailed the draft that year so every cloud has a silver lining. 2019 is a distant memory now, we're built for sustained success and even if we don't win today i'm sure we will be challenging over the next few years.
  20. For sure you should remind her. Put that Karen in her place
  21. Andy Lovell hit the nail on the head “Your brand stacks up boys, you just need to trust in the brand, trust in each other and you may as well go and win it, hunt ‘em to death lads. Good luck”
  22. outstanding album. my favorite track is Mouth for War
  23. Gameday. Finally Feeling calm and confident. Ever since that Rd23 comeback I’ve felt we’re destined. The boys look primed, have a laser focus. Maxy has an aura about him. He’s been a colossus for us. We are favorites and rightfully so. I have absolute faith that we will deliver a performance. I think our contest work, ferocious pressure and defensive system will win the day. The doggies have to adjust to combat us whereas we just need to play our game. All the talk of out of the box tactical moves by Beveridge betrays this fact. To all you lucky Dees fans in Perth I want you to lift the roof off Optus. Be the extra man, will our boys over the line. I predict a 35 point win, the Norm Smith for Maxy and delirious post game celebrations Go Dees
