No more apologising
Far better to be hated than pitied. Nothing worse than rival fans not having the heart to banter us because we were so wretched

2022 Fixture - We are the Hard Draw!
Would like to get Geelong as one of our Top 6 double-ups so we can keep pushing them towards the cliff

POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
Interview with goody in the preseason. He was spot on with everything he said https://www.afl.com.au/video/556395/can-the-dees-push-for-a-premiership-in-2021-?videoId=556395&modal=true&type=video&publishFrom=1615143600001

MFC Strategic Plan for Next 4 Years
If Tayla Harris can settle in and kick the goals we're a great shout for the flag

What to do on the weekend after the grand final?
I intend to sup an ale or 2 and watch the replay with my mates (via zoom)

Kate Roffey, the unsung hero of our success
I agree. He looked terrible at the AGM

2022 Fixture - We are the Hard Draw!
Now that we've made Optus our biatch I want to play the Eagles in Perth next year. After the horror show in 2018 i want to see the looks on the Eagles fans faces when we pump their team.

Kate Roffey, the unsung hero of our success
I thought he was ousted by the board. His comments suggest otherwise End of the day i don't think it matters whether he resigned or was pushed. We have a flag and that's the main thing

MFC Strategic Plan for Next 4 Years
We have a gun womens team as well. I reckon we can do better than 1 AFLW premiership.

Wilson’s Big Call
Ben Brown is a smart cookie. He won't be relying on his footy earnings to survive once he hangs up the boots. Many players turn down bigger offers to move so they can stay and enjoy premiership success. I highly doubt he regrets his decision to join the Dees.

Jake Melksham
They lost 2 of their last 3 at home this season (v us and GWS). The home advantage won't save them from the cliff

Wilson’s Big Call
Hindsight makes fools of all of us. Not her biggest mistake by a all long way. Not a Caro hater but she had a shocker grand final week. Kicked off with a nothing story about a club curfew and followed up by comparing the tanking saga to the Essendon drug saga. Not her finest work at all.

The World moves on quickly
I was just thinking this morning how fast the world has moved on from the GF and this article popped into my feed. https://www.theroar.com.au/2021/10/01/relentless-thirst-for-trade-gossip-robbed-demons-and-fans-chance-to-drink-in-legendary-gf-triumph/ Describes my thoughts exactly. Trade talk has taken over and our victory is old news already. There are so many great stories to tell (the writer is right about Ron Barassi – would love to see and hear his response to our win). I wish someone told these stories Anyways, I would have liked the focus to stay on us a while longer yet. Can’t wait to Rd1 next year to see the flag unfurled.

Best email to reach Pert
I agree with you on this one. The club should do as much as it can to ensure players meet the members. And especially meet the kids. They are the next generation of members so we should do everything we can to cement the bond that the GF win creates. The club have been very well run this year so I reckon the Covid restrictions have a lot to do with the lack of interaction and that can’t be helped Next time pull your boy from school if it means he gets to an open training session. One day out of school is nothing compared to the experience of meeting the players

It's Home
unsurprisingly they look drained and hungover.

Mac Andrew
I agree with this. If he slides into the second round then happy days. Snap him up. But the talk is he'll go top 10-15. I think thats too rich and i wouldn't be in favor of trading back into the first round to secure him. Having said that if JT thought it was worthwhile trading into the first round then fair enough. JT is God.

If we already have the best ruck combo in the league why do we need to use our top pick on a project player? Surely we have more immediate needs.

Carlton to get on the 'selfless' bandwagon
Some here over rating Carlton’s list. Remember they can’t defend for toffee. Makes a welcome change from the “Carlton have overtaken us” posts though

When did the tears start watching the grand final?
No tears flowed but plenty of beer did. Took me 2 days to recover from the hangover

Now that we’ve won the premiership in the men’s
Our form last season was excellent. We were stitched up with the fixture playing more of the top teams than any other team while Adelaide played easy beats and racked up percentage which got them home advantage in finals We have 2 absolute champions in Daisy and Paxman. Zanker, Hanks, Bannon and McNarama will be a year older. Lauren Pearce, Goldrick and Hore are excellent players. We've added boom recruit Tayla Harris to kick the goals and Olivia Purcell, a Geelong B&F winner and high draft. We have the list to do it and will be favorites. I'm really looking forward to the AFLW season. Can;t wait for it to start

Most Improved Player
I agree with everything that has already been said but in terms of role players Nibbler for mine was most improved I was not a massive fan of Maxy as captain. Wasn't sure if he had the presence and authority but he took his leadership to another level this year. Led by example and in his own style. He was immense throughout the season

Proved them wrong
Cam Mooney was pilloried after last year saying we were ready to win the premiership. He was only out by 1 year in his prediction. Kudos to him The old hawthorn brigade of Dunstall and Dermie were the worst offenders in my opinion. They didn't try to hid their contempt for us. Ross Lyon has gone down a lot in my estimation as well as he too has an obvious gripe with us for some reason
