Brad Hill
Wonder if Saints are willing to give up pick 5 for Hill? Seems steep, but they don't have much else in terms of picks after trading away their 2019 2nd & 3rd rd picks last year. Maybe we can package pick 20 & 38 for a mid 1st round pick (and maybe something back the other way) and trade that pick (15ish) for Hill. Suns hold Brisbane's 1st rd pick and (at this stage) don't pick again till 49. Might be happy to nab the extra picks for any bids on Conor Budarick, or even just to have extra selections.

The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
Cheers. Agree that NEAFL form is difficult to measure objectively, but he can only play what's put in front of him Sproule's also had injury to deal with this year as well. We don't have much to lose in asking and there's no clear pathway into the GWS senior team. Could be a match. Think so. Was GWS academy eligible, but got through to rookie draft by recollection. Was in the same forward line as Marshall. Not sure if that was a help or hindrance in his draft year, but remember that he had a good patch in 2016 GF that helped Murray get back into the game. Just didn't finish off his good work.

The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
Had forgotten about him. A bit surprised he hasn't gotten any sort of run in the seniors for GWS since being drafted. Definitely worth checking in on, wouldn't cost too much if he was willing to move. Good athlete and showed some versatility, would be keen to see how his body is tracking after a couple of years in the system.

The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
Would be a good get, but Port probably not keen to move him on and no word on him wanting out. Plenty of opportunities in Port forward line coming for Marshall. Not much else on the key forward front at other clubs. Anyone of decent value is getting a game and unlikely to move, those that aren’t getting games are untried (Toby Wooller, Patrick Kerr). One player that fell out of the AFL system and has gone back and done well at state league level is Liam McBean. Might be worth a look and would likely be a better option than Tim Smith as ruck relief.

The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
https://www.afl.com.au/news/2019-07-25/what-are-they-worth-kelly-coniglio-martin-and-all-the-other-trade-targets A number of lower profile players on this list who would help in areas of deficiency. Shai Bolton is starting to translate his talent into decent AFL performance, wonder if he could be tempted? Bonner would be a good get without costing much at all.

Was something in the media a couple of weeks ago about Geelong trying to lure him in a year when he hits free agency.

The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
We’ll have a bit with first Watts then Hogan shipped out. Lewis and Garlett will be off the books at years end. With staggered contracts I think we’re expecting to be able to snag a decent trade target this year.

Who will the Demons target next?
OOC at seasons end and may be open to a move to Victoria as his partner is from here and reportedly unsettled on GC. Was keen on getting to Bombers last year, but scuppered by Shiel deal.

Demons Grand Plan for Yarra Park Training HQ
Yep, Libs aren’t even bothering to run dead in Richmond. They want Greens to topple Labor here and don’t want to divert any votes away from them. Greens are a strong chance in Richmond too. Labor are appropriately nervous about this one.

KK was very much in contention to be drafted with our pick 2 if we held onto it in 2013. Billings probably was just in front, but KK very much in the conversation.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Remember Schwarz, Bennett, Jako & Lyon lining up in the same forward line at times in 91-93

One of Salem or KK to the wing. Both good overhead with pace and very good disposal.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Yep, I can’t work out why he isn’t talked about more. Wouldn’t be surprised if he moved up the boards closer to draft day(s).

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I like Xavier O’Halloran or maybe Ned McHenry in that range. Maybe Curtis Taylor or Sam Sturt will be around, but with a couple of 2nd rounders and a couple of 3rds we must be some chance of getting into the 1st rd somewhere.

So effectively looks like Hogan for May, KK & pick 23. https://amp.theage.com.au/sport/afl/big-names-caught-up-in-eight-club-mega-deal-20181016-p50a1x.html?__twitter_impression=true If that’s the way it lands, I’d hope we’d look at some of our picks to move up into the 1st round. Pick trading can continue all the way up to the draft this year.

Wonder if they'd give us pick 19 if we added one of our other picks as well.

Demons Grand Plan for Yarra Park Training HQ
Fair summation. Sometimes it doesn’t take much to sway public opinion in a short space of time. Polling suggests that the election’s looking close enough for a major issue to tilt balance either way.

Demons Grand Plan for Yarra Park Training HQ
Wasn't a Greens MP that said that (although they didn't support the notion, which is to be expected). It was leader of the opposition, Matthew Guy, that made the statement about Melbourne FC being more likely to win a flag than get planning approval for the Yarra Park HQ. He apparently knows a thing or two about planning approvals.

Had we held onto pick 2 in the 2013 draft, KK was just behind Billings on our rankings and would have well and truly been in the mix. We rated him pretty highly.- Farewell Jesse Hogan
If we get 6 and 9, keep 6, trade 9 for May.- Andrew Gaff
Would be funny if Billings came back in this trade.- Farewell Jesse Hogan
If we got to the point of discussing a trade with Freo, & two first rounders is the going rate, I’d be pushing for their highest pick this year and their 2019 1st rounder. Then get into Josh Kelly with two 2019 1st rounders in the bank to offer GWS if Kelly hasn’t re-signed by this time next year. And I'm very much in the 'keep Hogan' camp. - WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - KADE KOLODJASHNIJ
