  1. There’s just a snippet about Kalani in the article: Emerging tall Kalani White also featured in that clash and one scout was blown away by his athleticism, especially when rucking. “I think he’ll get there. The competitiveness is there… he just needs a bit of refining,” the scout told foxfooty.com.au.
  2. Fox SportsTop prospects, latest whispers in mega mid-year state of...Why cross-code prospect has AFL rivals excited; 1.9m beast on radar of mutliple clubs — Draft Watch
  3. If Viney had presented with concussion during/straight after the game, Allan probably gets a minimum 3 weeks for that.
  4. Wasn’t it Vic Police that released a statement about charges which they subsequently walked back with a re-released statement?
  5. I thought we’d do well to crack 20 000 given we were playing GWS & weather conditions. We pulled 16k against them last year & just under 18k against the Power a couple of weeks later without the same headwinds (so to speak). 23k isn’t terrible in that context.
  6. I thought GWS got us on ground ball and some of our defensive stoppage work was poor. Some of this might have been down to Mayzie not being there to organise and settle on stop plays. We panicked and turned the ball over in defensive half after repeat stoppages in GWS’ forward half, but the good news is that these issues are fixable. It hurt to lose that game, but it’s the first of a long season. We showed a lot.
  7. Ugh, last minute of the game no less. Shattered for AMW, was showing some great signs.
  8. Terrible news for Jagga. One of my kids favourites from the u/18 crop and a very well spoken young man. Pretty sure the first social media post the Blues put up after drafting Jagga included my son with his Dees jumper on! Get the feeling Carlton rolled some dice to get a midfield gun into the team to support Walsh & Cripps whilst in their peak, so this will be especially flattening for them. Long term am certain Jagga will come back strong. Will be a star.
  9. If he can play that ANB role (run hard both ways, be accountable for Tracs man when CP sneaks forward) then perfect. It sounds like Henderson has the traits to play that role while being pretty good with ball in hand. Chocco should have some good insight.
  10. Especially if he has a strong year. No signs of decline, if a contender came for him with the express view he could get them over the line for a premiership, what’s the value in draft picks?
  11. I think they’ve left the AFLW trade tracker & draft order updates to the work experience kids. Errors all over the place, but 46 did go out in the trade. Think it’s the one pick we sent out that stayed with GC.
  12. Or they thought we would cave in. Very happy we didn’t. Welcome back Tayla!
  13. My wife had the same gateway timeout issues but tickets were secured for the family despite the issues. It’s never easy with this mob (Ticketek)!
  14. Flash Davey’s niece, Tatyana Perry is in the draft crop this year. Was into Dees because uncle Aaron was with us, tipped to go in the 25-40 range. In other drafts she’d probably be well in first rd contention, but this is an especially strong group. Speed and skill is Tatyana’s calling card, good by foot too: https://www.afl.com.au/news/1262682
  15. Yeah, the trackers are wrong, the official AFL account which announces trades on twitter listed pick 46. Altogether that places Mithen's value at roughly pick 17.
  16. Zippy Fish the only one who could push Centra out at pick 1, Rasheed just a little bit further back then a gap to the next group. Both Fish and Rasheed are very good ball users but Fish has the speed advantage. A real excitement machine, would love to see her and Pisano running around for us next season.
  17. GC are potentially getting the best player in the draft as an academy selection and need points to match bids for other talented academy prospects. They’re getting Mithen & other lower picks back in the trade.
  18. Six club mega deal will happen without Hawks, Harris in limbo, could come back to Dees. Farewell Lil, always a premiership Dee. We can remove the ? From the title of the thread I guess: https://www.afl.com.au/news/1262823
  19. If keen to read up on the prospects, Rookie Me have done an AFLW version of their draft guide. It's handy guide and probably the best available resource on prospective AFLW draftees: https://central.rookieme.com/afl/2024-aflw-draft-guide/
  20. Full name is Zipporah, but nicknamed Zippy (and yes she is very quick!)
  21. Todd Patterson's our head of recruiting in AFLW and has done a pretty good job. This year's crop is viewed as something of a super draft, a lot of talented players in that first 10 and this year will be the first truly national draft, so can draft players regardless of state (no nominating which state you want to be drafted to). I can see why we'd want to load up on picks. If we could nab pick 2 from GC, Zippy Fish or India Rasheed would be incredibly good gets (Ash Centra expected to be selected by Collingwood @ 1).
  22. Looks pretty handy: http://www.hudl.com/video/3/14831560/5f71d4d6041f0c0b84297b16
