  1. Just watched the Goodwin post-match press conference. We was asked about the possibility of another tall (e.g. Wied or Brown) up forward and he was adamant the current mix was to be persevered with. Hard to fathom based on today's performance.
  2. Watch how quickly this forum will be eye rolling at Carlton's flag-less quarter century should we pinch one before they do! As for the Cats - get your flag count into double figures, then come back to us.
  3. While we're at it, the Physicist one is wrong too. It should read gas and liquid. Fluid refers to gases and liquids.
  4. I've heard about a close tag but that is going too far! ?
  5. Surely that should be grounds for a forfeit on their part!?!?
  6. Not in 2x and incumbent Brownlow medal winner Fyfe's league. Well... $h!t.
  7. Someone interviewed on Inside Melbourne (perhaps Richo) said Smith as a defender was due to it apparently being easier on his body.
  8. 1) do we bring Kozzie back next week, and if so 2) who goes out for him? Jones? Melksham? Neither really like-for-like replacements... ?
  9. On today's showing there are three teams worse than Carlton. Imagine what this would have turned into if Carlton turned up in the first 1.5 quarters.
  10. To sum up the shambles, the team belts the song out with gusto before skipper Max is even back in the rooms - first win as Captain.
  11. Is it premature to call Omac in for Smith next week...?
  12. Trac you absolute star. That's the way to grab a game by the scruff of its neck!
  13. Salem being too cute with that dinky inboard kick
  14. Keep it up - percentage will be absolutely critical this year
  15. Could easily have been 50 to 0 that quarter - but great signs! Loving the intensity & much better entry into fwd 50.
  16. Very good points. I've long mused on just how much damage Neeld did to his relationship with the playing group right back at possibly his first public address as coach (was it the BnF?) where he delivered an awkward slapdown to applause when he was introduced. He may have come from the successful Collingwood setup, but he hardly carried the credentials of a Malthouse that may have lent greater weight to such an approach.
