  1. I'm sure there was. But bear in mind we also picked Weidemann ahead of numerous more successful tall forwards in his draft year. Seeing something in a 17yo doesn't necessarily extrapolate to AFL level, though I'm really hopeful Jeffo makes it - he's made strong strides since this time last year.
  2. Not to mention his own self interest as an aging player.

I will cancel my membership and my wife has declared she'll burn her gear if Hird comes to the club.

Jeez, a likeable, classy, humble player gracing a post-match on-court interview with Jim Courier. Well done, Alex de Minaur!

  9. Bowey Chandler, Trac & Langford
  10. Sadly no! The squad was divided into three groups, each doing work on a different part of the ground - I think Jeffo was in one of the areas further from where I was situated.
  11. A few more of Langford:
  12. For those on Langford watch, here are a few pics from today's session.
  13. Here's NGA prospect Toby Sinnema laying successive tackles on Riv then May:
  14. Here's TMac's group from this morning's time trial - leading over Petty, Melksham, Woey and Laurie. Petty & co. Petty, Melk, Woey & Laurie TMac building a significant lead Sharp was a machine today - miles ahead of his group Chandler, McVee, Sparrow & possibly Windsor in a chasing group
  15. Here's one of the groups from the latter set of time trials. Billings setting the early pace ahead of Trac, Kolt, Salem, etc. Salem, followed by Rivers, Viney, Roo and Clarry: Trac taking the lead: Trac and Kolt breaking away in the push to the finish line from followers led by Billings: Recovery!
  16. Here are some shots from one of the sets of time trials - part of the squad ran in this one, with the runners broken into three groups spaced around the boundary. Here's Langford heading up his group. Followed by Howes (apologies if I mis-identify anyone), Bowser, Koz, Marty Hore, etc. Kozzy tailed by Hore, AMW and Ricky Mentha: Koz closing on the finish line: Here's May and Jefferson: Here's Luker Kentfield ahead of May and Jeffo: Here's Turner followed by Fullarton and Aidan Johnson:

  19. Here are some pics of Clarry from today: Here he is laying a tackle during the football drills in the latter part of the session: And another one :-)
  20. Here are some pics of Kalani White from today's training: Early on was doing a kick-to-kick drill with Dees NGA player Toby Sinnema: Kalani and Toby Sinnema chatting with Langford: This was during the football part of the training session after the time trials:

Ok, so here's Gawn & Kalani White at training today - this was taken when they were both almost the same distance from me. Measuring their heights in pixels from the original version of this image gives the following: Gawn: 1668 px Kalani: 1627 px Taking Gawn's height as the published 209 cm, this puts an estimate on Kalani's height at 203.86 ~ 204 cm (approx 6 ft 8 in) - though to be fair it does look like this would be inflated by an inch or so given Gawn is slouched just a little more than Kalani in this frame.
