100%, I wouldn't be dropping him this week for that exact reasoning. We don't have much choice atm but to ride the Sideshow train and hope it eventually arrives at Form Station. Just think his lack of output has gone a fair bit under the radar this year, especially when comparable to other players who regularly cop it after 1 poor game. And absolutely agree it's imperative we go after a key forward this offseason.

So the club and club doctors made a false injury report you reckon? Rubbish. I take Daw at his word. Seems a ripper fella and his footy career will ultimately be judged by his community impact more than his stats.

Nowhere did I say that was my main criteria mate. But if the bloke is only going to have 11 touches and 1 goal for the game then I would expect more impact than 2 effective disposals as part of it. Ben Brown is WELL past the stage where we should be judging him on 'improvement'. This is a 29 year old former Coleman winner on a sizeable contract who hasn't performed for the majority of the year, not a 20 year old still learning the game and growing into his frame. Geez he's getting let off lightly this year. It's bizarre.

Definitely improving, but it's a low bar that has been set the last month or so. Had 2 effective disposals against the Lions. 2. I think we just have different definitions of busy. I more treat it as impact on the game, whereas it seems yourself and SWYL class it as trying to do lots. That's footy I suppose.

Where abouts was that bit Luci? I might have missed it or not be remembering it. Got a link? I remember him saying 'if they don't make the 8 because of it....' which to me pretty firmly implies he thinks it does have a big impact.

I definitely think JVR playing some ruck at Casey would be good, but I don't reckon we'll play him in that role for his first senior game. That's all aside from the fact he's only 193cm, so that combined with his physical maturity precludes him playing ruck at AFL level anytime soon IMO.

Would be Mitch Brown surely? Potentially even Tomlinson who did some back up ruck for us early on when he came to us. Very much doubt it would be JVR.
