So this year they implemented a change to the game plan to tell forwards to crowd together and everyone to run by themselves?

Different personnel doesn't mean new game plan, in fact, I would argue it means quite the opposite. Clearly we haven't executed the game plan well for most of the year, but it's safe to assume we haven't changed much about it since last year. So what parts of our premiership winning game plan do you suggest we change?

Sorry mate, don't have this year's premiership photo yet...

Not sure why the 'yeah nah' then in response to me saying 'don't change the game plan'?

Yeah nah, "tinkering" might happen, sure, but you don't completely change the game plan now. Farcical suggestion.

As 'reported' by Jack Watts... “I think I would have seen this 20 times over my career,” he said on a new episode of KFC SuperFooty TV. “If you had have asked me (which) two Melbourne players were in a scuffle, I would have probably said these two. “Clearly they’ve had a bit too much to drink, it gets a bit chirpy and something’s pushed over the line – they’re good mates ... it obviously got to that point where Melky’s had enough.” Watts revealed former teammates Nathan Jones and Jeremy Howe had been involved in a similar incident during his time at the Dees. “Jonesy and Howey had a good one one year, just a little fisticuff to the grill. “It was exactly what would have happened here – Howey gets pretty chirpy on the p---, so does Jonesy, they were both going at each other and one person’s just had enough.”

I know you're not new to footy, so I'm sure I don't need to run you through why changing game plans halfway through a season is a bad idea, even more so purely because you have one injury that might impact for as little as 4 games. We don't need to devise a different way to play, we need to stick to what we know and be better at it. "Just be us". Remember that? Got us a flag last year, which you have been banging on about for ages and then forget after 3 weeks and go back to ranting.

Ah yes, a completely new game plan half way through the season... What could go wrong?
  10. IN: Weideman, van Rooyen, May, Rivers OUT: Gawn, M.Brown, Turner, Sparrow Rivers to HB, Gus to the wing, Jordon to Sparrow's role. Jacko primary ruck, Weid backup and 3rd tall forward. TBH, not the end of the world (although not great either obviously). Gives us a chance to get Gawn 100% right and have some different looks at out clearance setups; which have been poor this year IMO. Also means Weid can do some rucking which usually helps his involvement. Plus, an excuse to bring in Man's Ruin, the mongrel.

  12. Just like none of the posters who think we might be loading have said it's the only factor for our performances and everything else is totally fine. Some pretty disingenuous comments coming out on both sides of the 'loading' discussion now that so many are in bad moods after a few losses.

Fortunately we have a highly talented young ruck who can cover for him. Lucky we haven't traded him for an 18 year old midfielder yet hey? ;)
  14. Yeah Richo said ankle during the game, then Goody said he was also carrying a back injury, and he had his shin strapped heavily also... In the wars big time.
  15. Bloody hell. Where'd you see that mate? Back, knee, shin and now foot?!
  16. 100%. We're much better when Spargo, Trac and an in-form ANB are delivering it forward, but all are down atm. Part of that is form and part of that IMO is us basically bypassing them and bombing it.
  17. Ah yes, moving our worst decision maker into a position where we're currently making terrible decisions, replacing our best decision maker... That will help!
  18. If we won and Maynard won the medal as if there wouldn't be boos...
  19. Weird time to argue we're not loading, but ok...
  20. One match mate.
  21. There was no 'fall of the ball', Collngwood had their highest amount of intercept marks for the year. Both Browns failed to even bring it to ground.
  22. Just collating for future reference.
  23. OUT: Browns, Turner IN: JVR, Weid, May Rivers as sub.
  24. Calm down mate. You don't cover yourself in glory on game days.
