This year (averages): TMac - 4 marks, 1 contested mark, 1.7 goals, 1.1 tackles Gunston - 3.9 marks, 1 contested mark, 1.5 goals, 1.3 tackles And as far as the AFL's "key forward" rankings goes:
-
What if his brother was unsigned while waiting to see if they could end up playing together in Melbourne? (Not goss, just conspiracies out loud...)
-
I know it can involve several clubs, but I don't see how it's possible to trade 1 future first round pick for 2 future first round picks from 2 separate teams. Doesn't add up.
-
But you couldn't do that unless another team had 2x 2023 first round picks? And even then, why would we take that deal that adds even further uncertainty? Sorry mate, not grasping this part at all.
-
I might need coffee, but how could they split their 2023 pick? And tbh, I don't think pick 6 and a future first gets it done anyway.
-
Sorry, missed where you said that mate. Pick 20 came from the idea that they can't trade pick 2 for a player. If they trade pick 2 for two top 10 picks, they would still need to trade both those picks (at least) for Jackson though and then they're back in the same boat.
-
Not sure it is exactly the same. There's only 2 teams over there, so the options are way more limited. Plus, Jackson could walk to the draft and end up at the Eagles (I don't think that will happen though). Also, don't think the Eagles better draft hand makes any difference in relation to this trade. We're not going to be accepting pick 20 for Jackson, and I'm not convinced the Eagles will be bottom 2-3 next year.
-
Eagles can't trade their first rounder this year though (unless they trade in another one or get special permission). Either way, the goss is it'll be Freo and the club at this stage have said the deal will need to involved Andrew Brayshaw. It's sounding like he's gone.
-
Again, where? I've had a pretty big search and found not one article that suggests the deal was 400k per year or that he gave up a million dollars, so keen to see the link you read it at. And you are correct, Adam Ramanauskas turned down 3 years at 750k reportedly, so I would be pretty surprised to hear he then signed for nearly half of that with another club.
-
Yeah I'm with you on the personal leave stuff, have heard both Ratten and Lethlean talk about it and the undertones are that he's going through some stuff. I just blame McClure for it given he broke the story and chose to go with that angle. Even the Caro-haters I'm sure would choose one of her articles over one of McClure's tho....
-
McClure literally reported the whole thing, made the insinuations, put out tweets, wrote articles, brought it up... But you're still gonna blame Caro? Come on mate, not doing your argument any favours there.
-
Reported where?
-
Sam McClure reported it and wrote about it.
-
Might not be enough to get the job done, but we can offer up our future first this year.
-
The only club that would be reigning premiers and back to back winners at the time tho... ;)

100%. That's who I would love us to get in an ideal world. Love the Souva!
-
Or (if it happens) he might say: "I've been lucky enough to have had success so far in my career, and the chance to bring that over to my home state and try to do it in front of all my friends and family is really exciting".
-
As a player, 100%, as a team mate... not so sure...
-
He's 1cm shorter than TMac.

'Apparently' got into a bit of a minor scuffle at a bar during the bye. Neither played in the next game, Ryder was 'managed' and Hill had 'personal reasons', which could be totally legit but journos obviously get suss on that kind of thing once the other info comes to light.
-
Ryder and Hill are the new story now yeah?
-
You seemed VERY specific about his salary so I assumed you knew the exact amount. And you're right, might crack a beer, have let a couple of trolls who follow me around continually ruin my posting tonight. (Not you btw!)
-
Ok then.
-
100%, I wouldn't be dropping him this week for that exact reasoning. We don't have much choice atm but to ride the Sideshow train and hope it eventually arrives at Form Station. Just think his lack of output has gone a fair bit under the radar this year, especially when comparable to other players who regularly cop it after 1 poor game. And absolutely agree it's imperative we go after a key forward this offseason.
-
Massive apologies then, I interpreted that completely wrong.
