Damien Barrett's scathing assessment of the MFC
Lord Nev replied to Bring-Back-Powell's topic in Melbourne Demons
Usual cycle happening here... Dees are terrible. Dees fans complain they're terrible. Journo says Dees are terrible. Dees fans turn on journo. -
Damien Barrett's scathing assessment of the MFC

Only guessing, but there's plenty of rumours around about big name players requesting trades. So that, potentially combined with the terrible financial forecast for this year could have painted a pretty bleak picture. -
The calumny of the AFL's priority pick policy

Also, from this very thread you're 'contributing' lots to... Have a good night.

He's not. Here, I'll lead you by the hand a bit more... "while Levi Casboult satisfied a trigger in his contract that will earn him a deal for 2020." Article from August 25 Note the "Out of contract" players listed: Matthew Cottrell, Josh Deluca, Jarrod Garlett, Mick Gibbons, Hugh Goddard, Patrick Kerr, Kym LeBois, Matthew Lobbe, Andrew Phillips, Angus Schumacher, Kade Simpson You're welcome.

Casboult is the 2nd forward option, sometimes even 3rd. He's also played in defence and in the ruck. For a comparison within your limited context, here's some of the second key forwards with similar outputs from top 8 teams: Geelong - Ratugolea: 12 goals in 17 games. Brisbane - McStay: 19 goals in 22 games. Richmond - Riewoldt: 16 goals in 10 games. Collingwood - Cox: 19 goals in 14 games. Bulldogs - Schache: 23 goals in 13 games. Bombers - McKernan: 17 goals in 15 games. That's a combined average of 1.1 goals per game for those teams. So I would say 6 teams out of the top 8 have similar output from their second key forward.

I'm getting it from the most recent source, which incidentally is in the OP. It's also been explained a couple of times in posts in this thread. Worth a read mate.

Goodwin said at the time we recruited him that we may play him forward, and it was part of the discussions Goody and May had prior to the trade request.
-
Good on you mate. One of the hardest things to do these days is try and put your ego aside on the internet, nicely done.
-
Was in the first 45 minutes of the show and was a few passing references to MFC chasing him apparently.
-
Was passing on what I was told, will try and find out more context for you or maybe a rough time. Stand by...

Mentioned it last night on his show on SEN. Haven't seen it anywhere on facebook.

Not sure when the actual contracts end, but there's a stipulation that assistants need to be told whether they're being renewed etc in early August. Would think the Hawks would want to keep him, and they were still in the finals hunt then, so they all might have kept their powder dry a bit.

Jones and Gawn.

I think it was at the end of last season, but not 100% sure. He's been there for 6-7 years and worked his way up. It's not all locked in yet, but we're pushing apparently.
-
Read the thread title? Mate, you wrote a whole big post just to take cheap shots at the guy. Don't know why people do that so much here, it's embarrassing.
-
Not sure where I said anything about Lewis coaching, but always good to find out the over the top biases some posters on Demonland have against particular people.
-
Just have a look at who carried him off after the North game and it will give you some clues...

Word is starting to get out now about the Dees chasing Yze, I think to replace Jennings' role in strategy though not 100% sure. Sam McClure has mentioned it now on SEN, possibly because Hawthorn's year is done and moves can be made. Very highly rated and has risen through the ranks quite quickly. Would be a fantastic get should it happen.

Winning 4 flags. But sure, you could follow up his class with one on cheap shots.
-
Oh yeah, I'm agreeing with you in that sense. I guess I'm not totally against it just because of the way he plays and leads, and how much we need that in the forward line, at least from someone. I still don't believe we're really chasing Keath tbh.

May was originally drafted as a forward I believe, so he's more of a forward turned defender than vice versa. In fact, he was named full forward in the All-Australian under 18 team.

SEN Breakfast’s Sam Edmund has suggested that the 25-year-old may be having second thoughts about remaining with the Tigers. “Kamdyn McIntosh is interesting, he re-signed two months ago at Richmond on a two-year deal, I think he might be gettable though,” he told SEN Breakfast. “He’s out of the side, his last game was Round 17, he’s out of favour suddenly. If he doesn’t play finals, watch this space. “If a club came for McIntosh, his head might be turned.” Richmond defender "might be gettable"
