Angus Brayshaw to Fremantle Rumours
I quoted an article and asked a question. I'm certainly glad you're not in charge of Demonland. You have no idea how to read a post.

Hard to argue about the list if you're not looking at alternative scoreboards. They've won a flag and are playing finals again this year. We've made finals once. Brayshaw has had one almost "great year", let's be honest here. He's been horrible this year. Petracca has steadily improved every season, but people seem to dismiss that and wait for that magical 'break out' game he's apparently going to have. Outside of Gawn, a case could be made Petracca has been one of our most consistent players this year. Had a couple of poor games a few rounds in, but aside from that he's has been solidly between 16-20 touches and a goal every game. He's 23 years old, and has had one whole season out but he's "had enough time". What a ridiculous comment. The whole idea is just so silly that if you hadn't spent so much time posting about it I would be sure you were joking.- Angus Brayshaw to Fremantle Rumours
Angus Brayshaw The 2014 No. 3 pick signed a four-year extension at Melbourne this time last year, but things haven’t gone to plan for him or the Demons in 2019. After producing a brilliant 2018, the midfielder has gone backwards this year and could be someone with currency the Demons look at trading. They have plenty of midfielders like him, but not enough polished outside ball users. While it remains unlikely he will move clubs, his brother Andrew, who the Dockers selected with the second pick in the 2017 National Draft, is viewed as a crucial pillar going forward at Cockburn and his other brother Hamish is currently on West Coast’s list. Freo Trade Targets- Karl Amon
You realize we can BOTH trade in players AND work on the game plan yeah? And if you think any of Baker, Dunkley, JKH, Stretch, Brayshaw, Hunt, Jordan, Kolodjashnij, Sparrow, C Wagner are the answer for us on the wing then be prepared for 2019 take II.- Karl Amon
1 of those players has shown enough to be considered best 22, and he's just had a horror year where he's been shown up when played on the wing. This is next level head in the sand stuff.- TRAINING: Wednesday, August 21, 2019
Thanks for this as always @kev martin It's much appreciated.- CHANGES: Rd 23 vs Kangaroos
Salem and Hibbo both in the rehab group today apparently. Could just be a light run given the time of year of course, but Salem surely in big doubt.- New Captain
Bulldogs are 8th with a seemingly far better coach, better list, less injuries, better form and on and on. Ridiculous to pick out one player and compare them to an entire other team. And why just Petracca? How does Viney compare to those 3 this year? Brayshaw? Even Oliver? But sure, let's trade out one of the 2 players who has actually improved this year.- WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON
Because Langdon was still contracted and said he would honour his contract.- Ross Lyon Sacked
Haha topical, I like it. Nicely played.- Ross Lyon Sacked
And to be clear, I'm not bagging out the bloke like we've both seen everywhere. He's clearly an experienced qualified professional, but my interpretation of the situation was the club felt they needed to change things.- Ross Lyon Sacked
Sure, you can interpret it how you wish, just as I have. Clearly the club isn't going to come out and say he was underperforming so they demoted him.- Ross Lyon Sacked
I'm not making comment on the injury, I'm not a doctor nor have I seen Joel's medical records. I wouldn't have a clue tbh. As far as Misson goes, here's some sources on him being effectively put aside: "With elite performance manager David Misson to move to Canada with his family at season's end, the Demons have appointed Dr Zeeshan Arain as head of medical services for the rest of the season, while Phil Merriman will lead the strength and conditioning department. Misson will oversee the transition until his departure." Dees' coach shake-up, chase for ex-Arsenal performance guru begins “We looked at the whole department and said, ‘How can we set up a better structure, how can we set up better programs and processes?’, and that probably took three or four weeks of internal interviews with staff, players and coaches. “We’ve got a structure we’ll put as an interim structure for the remainder of the year and we think it’s an opportunity to look for improvements, but also setting us up for next year when Misso isn’t here. “Misso will now oversee the implementation of this structure and complete a variety of specific initiatives for the rest of this year.” Melbourne seeks opportunities to improve "The high performance manager role is about people management now so we will have a good look at how the structure plays out, the positives and negatives," Mahoney said. Demons revamp coaching structure mid-season in radical move- Ross Lyon Sacked
That's not what was said. But sure, let's ignore what people with inside knowledge of the club say, that worked out really well when Shaun Smith complained about Misson who then ended up being practically demoted a short time later. Much more reputable info to be had from anonymous posters on Demonland...- Karl Amon
Interestingly, things have gone quiet on the contract front for him after the news a month or so ago.- Karl Amon
I know, I know, not the sexiest option out there, but we're desperate for wingers right? And he would improve our depth in that area, quite possibly being best 22 for us. Thoughts? Report: Power midfielder to request trade home to Victoria- Ross Lyon Sacked
As always, take what I post however you wish bing181. I try to generally post things that have some kind of basis in fact, but if you wish to indulge more in the roundabouts of internet forums go right ahead. I don't hold any grudge against anyone here.- Ross Lyon Sacked
Yes, and Demonlanders would know more about how the players are feeling than their parents...- Ross Lyon Sacked
Twig has been listed by Fox Footy as someone who may be considered to replace Lyon. Would be a huge loss to us, but not a surprise given his reputation as a quality coach and the way we (potentially) shafted him a bit this year. JADE RAWLINGS It’s been just over 10 years since Rawlings famously took the Richmond caretaker coach reins and racked up three wins and a draw from his 11 games. After Damien Hardwick got the full-time gig, Rawlings moved to Brisbane for two seasons then Melbourne in 2012 — the club he’s been at for the past seven years. As part of the Demons’ unprecedented mid-season coaching restructure, Rawlings was been promoted from Casey Demons VFL coach into Melbourne’s senior set-up to oversee the forward line. Rawlings was named the VFL coach of the year in 2018 after leading Casey into the grand final. Ten years after getting a taste of senior coaching experience, Rawlings might be ready to go again — and surely he would jump at the opportunity if it presents itself. Melbourne’s horror season could work against him though. Replacing Ross Lyon: The 12 contenders for vacant Dockers job- Strength & Power Coach
Just stumbled across this advertisement: https://www.sportspeople.com.au/jobs/60390-strength-and-power-coach-melbourne-football-club I'm assuming this is a new role and Burgess already has a hand in proceedings. (Which would be fantastic). But I noticed it's listed as "Reports To: Performance Manager / Strength and Conditioning Manager", which raises the question of whom is currently in that role as the MFC website still has Rob Jackson listed. Does anyone know what the go is there? Have we been without one since Rob left last year? Is Burgess bringing his own staff? More curiosity than anything tbh.- Ross Lyon Sacked
Ok mate, what would a player parent (who has a very MFC family) know about the culture inside the walls hey? You and I are probably more informed... FMD.- Ross Lyon Sacked
I'm sure you're intelligent enough to work out the different between being holistically unified and having divisions and cliques (as described by a player parent), despite your "FMD" exclamations.- Ross Lyon Sacked
From what I have heard (not trying to pass it off as gospel), Goodwin, Viney and Mahoney are a bit of a boys club, and not long ago a current players parent referred to team selection and the like as "Goody's boys", so in my mind there's still a bit of the same thing going on even if some of the names have changed. I'm more talking about the mentality of it rather than saying it's an MFC old boys club. If that makes sense?- Ross Lyon Sacked
I'm not advocating as such, but I'm pretty surprised that for a club that's played 2 Grand Finals in 50 years we're so quick to dismiss a coach who took two clubs with similar struggles to us to Grand Finals. - New Captain
