  1. Didn't say we should stand still, just said I don't agree that we've had a "mini rebuild".
  2. I'm not sure I agree with "mini rebuild", but even so, why would we be having a mini rebuild after he's been there 5 years already? And I'm not sure having a couple of months of not training in big groups is enough of a reason for us not fixing the recurring problems we've had under Goodwin in the last 4 years that he's been in charge. I don't think he'll go this year unless things go as badly as last year, purely for financial reasons, but I think he's had more than enough power for more than enough time to start being judged.
  3. You weren't alone....
  4. Just guessing, but possibly the difference between an innocent mistake and leading someone else to make a mistake?
  5. "Spargo was invited by a friend to a house last week and asked Pickett to come along. The AFL investigators agreed with the club that Spargo's punishment should be greater than Pickett's, given he was both the senior player and the one who asked Pickett to come with him. The club became aware of the matter this week but it wasn't because the players came forward. Once Melbourne officials became aware of the situation, they contacted the AFL." Two Demons suspended for breaking AFL's COVID-19 protocols
  6. When is it Goodwin's fault then? Sure, some new players, but he selected them. I get what you're saying, and I don't put it all on Goodwin, but I didn't see any leaders out there today pull the boys up when it started falling apart, or set an example with what they did, or yell at players to run to make options, shepherd etc. I mean, they couldn't even organize singing the song properly at the end.
  7. Turned 24 a couple of months ago, still a ways off 100 games. Not even a seasons worth with us yet. Reckon there's a fair few going a little too early here.
  8. I'm a Jackson fan, think he'll be something unique for us. There's no rush though is there? Let's develop him at a natural rate. We've seen this story too many times as Dees fans already.
  9. OUT: Jones, Jackson, Smith IN: Pickett, Weideman, OMac Lever and Smith together won't work IMO. Feels more settled when we have May, Lever and OMac, even though I'm not a huge OMac fan. Bit of a toss up between Jackson and TMac, but I think the combo of TMac and Weid is a better option at this stage and you back your senior players to find form longer than a first year player.
  10. He got his car crash out the way before arriving at Marvel. Most of his team mates saved it for game time.
  11. Brilliant from the Demon Army.
  12. If true, does that mean Smith forward? Or perhaps a late change with Weid in with the questions on Lever's soreness?
  13. Awesome, thanks mate!
  14. Yeah, gut says Bedford for sure, but wouldn't be against Lockhart, although there's unconfirmed reports he's missing the game due to a borderline injury/soreness. Can we choose from non-emergencies still?
  15. Because of the time frame, are we able to bring in someone from outside the emergencies? Would think either ANB or Bedord come in, but the remaining emergencies are Hibberd, Weid and Jordan.
  16. It's as a forward.
  17. Think it was back in 2018 I remember Goody (or possibly one of the assistants) saying they don't bother much with positions for the team sheet, it's basically just a list of names to them.
  18. He's an underrated kick in general IMO. Was rated as our best field kick by an intricate (and fair) ratings system in 2019.
  19. That's my concern also. Clearly our forward entries had not changed at all in round 1, and now we're looking at Oliver, Brayshaw, Viney, Langdon & Hunt being among the main kicks going inside 50. Fingers crossed Petracca, Melksham and Bennell get the ball plenty.
  20. Can't verify 100%. but was some talk going around Lockhart was 50/50 due to injury or soreness.
  21. Was a tough period for supporters, but we didn't exactly cover ourselves in glory with how we treated a kid we drafted.
  22. If only people were as passionate about racism for the last 200 years as they have been about a pandemic for the last 3 months...
