Coronavirus: AFL & MFC
I mean more directed to the fans. I'm not having a crack at them at all or saying it's a 'fail' or anything like that. More just saying that the next level for us is to do the extra things, and so far this year we've started doing that fairly well and would be awesome to see that kept up now, but it's not make or break by any stretch.

Coronavirus: AFL & MFC
No one needs to know exact details, but a bit of a glimpse at what measures the club is taking to assure our future would certainly help the members and supporters currently. We all know we're a struggling club and even thought it's clearly not the biggest issue for any of us right now; it would be helpful to know a little more. Doesn't even have to be some official club statement or the like, could be something as simple as some kind of combined video of messages from players, coaches and Pert/Bartlett just telling the supporters to stick fat and we'll be back. Might seem like a small thing, but it's times like this where gestures like that can mean a lot to supporters.

Coronavirus: AFL & MFC
Read somewhere on 'Land someone said staff had been stood down. Also, Goodwin is on a part time contract currently. Bit poor the club hasn't made a statement to fill in the members still.

Probably because it has a photo of him and his name in the headline...

You'd maybe excel at commentating some of the off field activities anyway! Get a SWYL merger special going or something.

The Virus, DeeLanders and looking after each other
Wonder if we could have a 'Demonland Classic Games - Recalled'. YouTube a classic MFC game and have some of the resident personalities do the commentary? I'm imagining WhisperingJack giving an indepth pre-game analysis, DeeSpencer not taking a breath while talking tactics for 12 minutes straight, SWYL and OldDee calling the 64 flag with those voices of the nasal olden style voiceover guys, GeorgeOnTheOuter telling everyone to straighten up and get the commentary back on track, DazzleDavey getting in about 4 words out of every 20 past the censors etc etc.

POSTGAME: Rd 01 vs West Coast
All the things that we did wrong in the game were things I've complained about for years and would normally be super mad about. But with everything going on I honestly just came out of it happy that Kozzy kicked his first goal.

GAMEDAY: Rd 01 vs West Coast
Geez imagine being the sort of person that, with everything going on, jumps on the internet to restart a footy argument.

Except it's been noted that the list is that extensive that some schools won't have a very different number of students attending.

That's a relief! Only heard the headline and thought that may be it for a while.

Sporting Globe - Melb v WCE
Venues now have a rule of 1 person per 4sqm, so would be worth checking with them before you head down. That said, probably best to watch at home right now.

TEAMS: Rd 01 vs West Coast
With Weid out, Tomlinson would be the one who has played the most ruck time out of he, TMac and Brown during the preseason games you would think. The question will be what % of game time Gawn can play after his interrupted preseason. With his existing fitness base and the shorter quarters I reckon he'll play a fairly high number of minutes.

You certainly cover yourself in glory when you try and insult someone by calling them a woman.

TEAMS: Rd 01 vs West Coast
Carlton had a 'decent ruckman' in the first quarter when they were outscored 2 goals to 7. Also, unsubscribe.

TEAMS: Rd 01 vs West Coast
I watched the game mate. Again, you said it 'bit Carlton the [censored]'. Last time I checked, games were decided by scores not hitouts. Carlton outscored the reigning premiers in the second half. How exactly is that being 'bit on the [censored]'? Actually, don't answer. I'm gonna unsubscribe here as it's going nowhere. You're right, and me, the facts, stats and Adam Simpson are all wrong. Cheers.

TEAMS: Rd 01 vs West Coast
You said it 'bit Carlton on the [censored]' when the fact is they won more of the ball, scored more and outscored their opposition once Kreuzer went off (which you admitted to saying they were more competitive). Your statement is not factual.

TEAMS: Rd 01 vs West Coast
You realize you just contradicted yourself yeah?
-
TEAMS: Rd 01 vs West Coast
I'm not necessarily advocating it, just reporting facts, and if you read what was said, the implication is that backup rucks would barely be needed. Not sure the reigning premiers vs a struggling team is the best example for the reasoning, but didn't Carlton start their comeback once Kreuzer went off?

TEAMS: Rd 01 vs West Coast
Yeah, gut feel is Weid will play and Brown and Jackson won't, but you never know given the changes, which is why I was just putting it out there. From the Daily Blog on the AFL website: WEST Coast will decide who supports Nic Naitanui in the ruck on Friday after the reduction in quarters to 16 minutes forced a re-think on team selection and how players are used. Potential debutant Bailey Williams will jockey with experienced big man Tom Hickey for the Eagles' second ruck spot, with both named in the 25-man squad released on Thursday, overtaking premiership big man Nathan Vardy. Simpson said the reduction in quarter lengths provided an opportunity to formulate new strategies and use players in different ways, particularly in the ruck. "It's 90 rotations as well, so what does that mean? Can you play your better players longer? That's probably the first question everyone is looking at," Simpson said in a teleconference on Thursday afternoon. "Does Luke Shuey need to come off the ground. If a quarter goes for 30-35 minutes he might need three or four breaks. If it goes for 20-25 minutes then maybe he can stay on a bit longer. "So I think that would be across the board what people are looking at. We've got a few compromised athletes who can't play every minute, so what does (Jeremy) McGovern's game look like? What does Nic Naitanui's game look like?" Simpson said the change, which will be in place for the entire season, could see team's playing a sole ruckman.

No, it wasn't. Their yearly conference is scheduled for July, the one last week was a women's conference. Maybe they didn't cover it on BBC World though and you missed it.

I "cut it in half" because it was about two completely different topics. PS - I don't think Scott Morrison was at the Hillsong Women's Conference mate.

You're literally commenting on a completely different point to what we were discussing. Staggering for someone with such an impressive degree as a Masters In BBC World...
