It was definitely good to see some freedom from the team. We still don’t punish enough teams from turnover, so we need to play more like this to learn and master the running patterns required in forward transition. Scoring from stoppage which has been the backbone of our game plan is just too hard to do all the time. Sure it looks epic when it’s on, but teams counter this with the +1 or +2 at stoppage. This year showed that when we are a little bit off or unmanned, we are nowhere near it. Heres hoping we do adopt a bit more of an offensive game plan next year.

The top 4 this year are all playing average football and are completely gettable. I’d go as far as saying if pies make it, they’d almost be favourites.
