I reckon they'll keep him on onto Salem returns.

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Gawndy the Great replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Both look decent in their first hit out with the VFL. But is there three first rounds picks worth for Reid? I’m honestly it would be a big call. -
Was nobody watching Anzac Eve? This happens to the Dees all the freaking team. Just because it is Collingwood, it gets far more coverage and press. Was the game poorly umpired last night - yes...but not to the same extent as Anzac Eve.

I think a 3 quarter sub out should be another mechanism we explore rest our best. The weekend game was a good example of resting Hibbo when the game was done. The game against the Suns might give us another opportunity to this. Also we have a twilight game, hopefully we can wrap up the game before the sun sets and humidity picks up and the ball gets all dewy.

Hearing on SEN it has happened. !! go you good thing -
Those throwing up their hands at the consulting fees spent, don't really understand the machinery of corporate Australia or even the world. Even if Andrew was best placed and the preferred candidate at the beginning of the process you cannot make an appointment of that significance without due diligence. I also chuckle at the 'old boys club' references. The AFL commission have already sanctioned a vision and strategy, which has been very successful and will set the parameters of what the candidate must bring to the table. This is why most appointments for a CEO role are done through internal promotion, as they are already onboard for what must be done to achieve their long term vision. They are also a known quantity, with an understood management and leadership style. The external appointments are more common when a company is failing to achieve and need a fundamental change in strategy and direction.

So Mays dismal year (comp 2022) so far clearly coming through the stats. Bowey as well. Chandlers a bit strange I thought it would be a huge positive.

100%. This is all mental and the Pies thrive off it. There were so many Pies turnovers (much higher than afl avg) that a more experienced side clinical on turnovers would have won that game by 6+ goals. Pies also employ our 2018 esque high defensive line and are extremely aggressive in their pressure. Crows showed us how to dismantle this by winning the inside battle early on and getting it to the outside. They just couldn’t finish. As the game wore on the Pies took so many risks and did some really stupid things trying to get into the game - crows just folded… nothing else.
-
Pies would have won by 5 + if it were a normal break between games. Crows missed an opportunity
-
Pies winning late is getting boring

I’m glad I wasn’t the only one that thought he was carrying a few spare tyres.
-
This should have been game over.
-
We were lucky to be playing Norf of a 5 day break. Bombers missing Tigers look to have lost and Pies goalless so far.
-
I agree - that combo is quite lethal if age wasn’t a factor would you prefer a Hawk/ Cameron duo over centreline?
-
I may be the odd one out but I’d rather Geelong fall of the face of the earth… as opposed to the Bombers.

Holmes runs into the protected zone pointing at a player behind the kicker 7m away… nufin.

POSTGAME: Rd 07 vs North Melbourne

Grundy will get better as the year goes and when Gawn also hits form , it will be a formidable duo. Pair that with an AA duo in the midfield … -
Not a chance… he hit the ball first and the player ran into his forearm.

Does Kade make the grade, or will it be Chandlermonium
Gawndy the Great replied to DeeSpencer's topic in Melbourne Demons
Love this bloke. He epitomises everything about hard work and never giving up. I was worried we were going to lose him by keeping him in the 2s, but has taken his spot in the 22 and doesn’t look like giving it up. He is a very good offensive weapon. -
I thought someone was missing (Petty) Out: Schache In: Petty JJ keeping Spargo out for now.
