Did not Magic Mark Neeld say we were going to be the toughest kids on the block.

Imagine the opposition confusion if we set up forward conventionally in one game, or heaven forbid mixed it up. I would consider Preuss at full forward, Smith at CHF and Wiedeman on the flank for one game. What is there to lose.

Should not take the place of a midfielder Should not play wing Do not see him as a permanent backman Is he better than Spargo and Co as a forward option-Yes

Like the centreline I think the side you picked is a week or two ahead of itself. All going well Dunkley and KK continue to play well at Casey for it to happen. I would like Lewis to be in for his generalship and teaching of the newies. Lockhart could replace Fritish or Hannan.
-
Agree, if we are true to our word about playing out the season then Lewis must be seriously considered to come back in.

The Tyson trade was a massive mistake apologies to Salem.

Yes and if you listened to the channel 7 telecast you would have heard Viney one minute before the bounce say our plan was to start fast and thats what they tried, fast handballs, fast kicks, fast thinking, all to no avail. So we are still playing the 2018 game that teams worked out. Perhaps if Goody and Co had watched a replay of the Prelim final they would know that as fact. By not watching that game and saying it wasnt our brand of footy he missed the point. The reason to watch was to understand the game plan used against us. Pretty basic stuff for a coach to absorb.

Mine are Baker needs more games but looks good Hore still a lot to learn, willing to learn May will be very good Dunkley will debut this year. We need to add at least 4 more who can be best 22 for next year.

No, again you are wrong. I have never said he was given the Captaincy because of his father. I think you are arguing with the wrong poster. No, Lever was a 3rd tall at the Crows. So he was traded as a 3rd tall. We were one good tall short early last season, that is why he played there and you know that he was recruited to play third tall with us. No. As recently as last week it was reported here old Viney took players for goalkicking toward the end of practice. Are you suggested he said, "Todd you cannot practice your kicking because I am doing this with the players"
-
Lever is not a key position player. Loose playing third backman with the Crows. You believe what you like but facts speak for themselves about the family connection. Any non partisan person would agree it is not healthy to have his Dad still so heavily involved at the Club while his son is playing let alone Captain. You quote two finals wins but ignore the game no one in the Club including Captains and Coaching staff will talk about. Tell me this, would Hawthorn the most successful modern club question all key roles if they had a season like ours?
-
Needs to be delisted but told we will keep an eye on him over the next few years.

Selwood comparison, give me a break. Being compared by whom exactly? Do you realise how many times Selwoods leadership has got Geelong over the line in big game last quarters. Typical of a Melbourne supporter to take one isolated comment from a commentator and quote it as a general opinion. If you want to quote Vineys two fianls last years you need to balance it with our hot run when he was out of the side. I challenge you to tell me what we would get if we traded him. I say mid second rounder making him far less worth than Hogan, May or Lever.

Jack like the other mids gets the best armchair ride in the competition. Disposal efficiency is generally poor and when good is 30 metres on average. Yeah, yeah to the tackles, we have always know that. What other Captain would broadcast one minute before the game our plan is to start fast. Just like Trengove and Grimes made Captain before fully developing his own game. Agree on the likes of Spargo, You can have Hannan too, always been NQR.
-
Hard on Wiedeman. can be excused until we learn to kick accurately or to space. In the mean time he continues to learn his craft the hard way.Mc Donald on the other hand needs a rest or spell at Casey.
-
I wondered the same thing. He has been over rated as a complete player since the day he walked into the Club. If I was a forward I would be very resentful of the praise he gets for shocking disposal into the forward line.
-
Absolutely agree. All this modern inside outside talk is just another way of saying good wingman are worth their weight in gold on the G.
-
I am wondering how much Gawn flatters our view of our midfielder possessions and ability. Any midfielder is going to get possessions with Gawn rucking but the heat needs to go onto the way the midfielders use the ball from those possessions. Oliver has probably had 20 and has done no damage and embarrassingly Collingwood are probably content to give him those 20. I remeber in Olivers first few years he used to handball to create space for the player to run into now, being well and truly in sync with our game plan he handballs to the first and closest target.
-
Always had Hannan as a NQR
-
We destroy any key forwards game and confidence.
-
Not a reasonable argument based on one piece of play. Viney is a 1960s sort of Captain, head down barrel in push forward at all costs. No head for the game. A bad influence on our style of play.
-
I would take a second rounder for Viney
-
It was the push part of the foot in the back at the end of the mark.
-
Game Over- Thanks Goodwin. Imagine telling slow brained footballers they must get off to a fast start.
-
Viney- Captain Chaos. I have felt uneasy since pre game when he said we aim to get off to a fast start.
